Free Grandstand event this Saturday at Legit Speedway Park in West Plains courtesy of Hirsch Feed and Farm Supply

After a week off, racing resumes Saturday night at Legit Speedway Park in West Plains with another Free Grandstand Event. This weeks points race and free general admission is being sponsored by Hirsch Feed and Farm Supply of Thayer and West Plains. The free grandstand events have been a monthly feature at Legit Speedway since it opened in May. The free admission events have seen crowds numbering in the thousands turn out for a great night of racing.

Hirsch Feed and Farm Supply are the sponsors for this Saturday’s free grandstand event. Tickets are available at both Hirsch Feed and Farm supply locations in Thayer and West Plains. Action on the track will include Heat races and Features in all six classes, so it will be a full night of entertainment for race fans. The gates open at 5 Hot laps are scheduled for 6:30 and races at 7.

14 year old Ethan Rushin of Poplar Bluff is in the points lead in the Bone Stock Division. He’ll be looking to hold on to his lead. In the Hobby Stock Division, it is Corey Lambert of West Plains in the lead. He is one of the drivers featured in the latest video on www.legitspeedway.com. He’s ahead by 36 points. The winner receives 100 points, so a win is critical for Lambert. Carl Murphy of Caulfield continues to maintain his lead in the USRA B MOD division but several drivers are within striking distance. In the IMCA Modified Division it is Daryl Hay of Doniphan out in front by 25 points. The IMCA Modified class is scored differently than all other classes, with the winner receiving 40 points instead of the usual 100. In the Super Stock Division, Donnie Miller of West Plains is once again in the lead with a 37 point margin. He will need a top 5 finish to maintain that points lead. Finally, in the Late Model Division, it is 18 year old Kaleb Stolba of Willow Springs out in front by a slim 5 points. He is the first driver to take the points lead away from Kenny Barker this season.
