Weekly Points Race at Legit Speedway sponsored by Midwest Walnut Rained Out

After a week of rain we finally had a semi-clear day and everything was ready to go at Legit Speedway until 30 minutes before race time, when the skies opened up and washed out the weekly points race. It’s always disappointing to get so close and then have to call it, but weather is one of those uncontrollable things.

Racing will resume next week at Legit Speedway Park in West Plains hosts the weekly points race sponsored by Big Country 99 from Houston, MO. The following week, on June 13th will be the next free grandstand event as Legit Speedway and their sponsors pay tribute to those in the timber industry for Logger Appreciation Day. Advance tickets for the free grandstand event will be available at participating sponsors.

“Legit” Apparel is now available in the tower concession area, along with Kerusso Christian T-Shirts. All profit from the Kerusso sales goes to ministry to children and youth in the area.

Gates open Saturday at 5PM with Hot Laps at 6:30 and races at 7. Tickets Prices are $10 for adults, $8 for Veterans and Senior adults, kids 6-12 are $5, and kids under 6 are free.
