Jackson Motor Speedway Hosts Open Practice This Saturday Night
 
Byram, Mississippi (3/26/08) – Jackson Motor Speedway (JMS) in Byram, Mississippi will be hosting an open practice session this Saturday night, March 29th from 6pm to 10pm.  Gates open at 5pm.  General admission is free, and pit admission is $10.  Concession stands will also be open for the duration of the practice.  All proceeds will go to Henry Cooper, who has been diagnosed with cancer.

This Saturday’s open practice comes as the staff prepares for the season opener, which will be held on Saturday, April 5th and will feature the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) Super Late Models battling for $2,500 to win in a 50 lap feature event.  Grandstand general admission for the event is $15. Pit admission is $30. 

Race fans please note than in 2008, new start times are in effect.  In an effort to get everyone on the road home at an earlier time, all of the start times have been moved up one hour. Pit gates open at 4 pm with the grandstand area opening at 5 pm.  Hot laps will be at 6 pm with drivers meeting 6:30 pm and heat races at 7 pm.  A full compliment of weekly racing divisions will be in action including Super Late Models, Limited Late Models (Late Model Stock & Crate Late Models), UMP Open Wheel Modifieds, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, Stingers.
