Tony Jackson Jr. Takes Third-Straights, MARS DIRTcar Title

Lebanon, Missouri (09/30/15) – Consider it a hat trick. Tony Jackson Jr. powered his Henryetta Ford #56 Black Diamond by Club 29/Cornett Racing Engine Super Late Model to his third-straight, MARS DIRTcar title over the weekend.

On Friday night Tony Jackson Jr. traveled to Salina Highbanks Speedway (Salina, Oklahoma) for the Mid America Racing Series (MARS) DIRTcar sanctioned event. Drawing a field of twenty-seven Super Late Models for the MARS Fall Invasion, Tony scored a 3rd place finish in his heat, transferring him into the $2,000-to-win A-Main. Starting mid-pack for the feature, Jackson Jr. charged to a runner-up finish to Jesse Stovall with Brandon McCormick, B.J. Robinson, and Jason Hughes rounding out the top five.

The following night in a field of twenty-five cars at Salina Highbanks Speedway, Tony scored a heat race win, giving him a front row starting spot for the feature event. Battling with Jesse Stovall for the $3,000 top prize, Jackson Jr. ultimately recorded a 2nd place finish behind Stovall with Justin Asplin, Brandon McCormick, and Payton Looney trailing them to the finish line. With his two runner-up finishes over the weekend, Tony Jackson Jr. clinched his third straight MARS Championship.

Tony will not race anywhere this weekend, but will resume competition on October 9th-10th with the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) Fall Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Missouri).
