Cory Hedgecock Stays Perfect in NeSmith Action at I-75

Loudon, Tennessee (06/07/16) – Cory Hedgecock remained unbeatable in NeSmith Dirt Late Model Series action at I-75 Raceway by sweeping the program in his Brucebilt Performance Rocket Chassis #23 Smithbilt Homes Late Model on Friday evening. The victory was his 9th of the 2016 season.

Piloting the Eagle Racing Engines #23 Crate Late Model, Cory Hedgecock headed to I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tennessee) on Friday night for the 3rd Annual Bill Hendren Memorial 40, which was sanctioned by the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series. With 21-cars signed in for the event, Hedgecock timed in the fastest in qualifying, which earned him the pole position for the feature. Battling for a $2,000 payday, Cory jumped out to the lead at the drop of the green flag and never looked back. Soaring to his 9th win of the season, Cory Hedgecock was trailed by Scott Dedwylder, Chase Edge, John Owenbey, and Ronnie Johnson across the finish line in the 40-lapper.

“Our car was really good from the time that we unloaded, and it’s pretty cool that we’ve gone 3-for-3 with the NeSmith Series at I-75 Raceway this year,” said Hedgecock. “I want to thank my team, sponsors, family, and fans for their support!”
