Jacob Hawkins Launches Website; Recovers from Injuries

Fairmont, West Virginia (06/28/13) – Jacob Hawkins is the latest addition to the MSR Mafia and has launched a brand new website at www.JacobHawkins20.com .

Hawkins is 23-years-old and pilots the #20h St. Henry Nite Club/Creekside/ Rocket/Dargie Racing Engine Super Late Model. Jacob started the year with a pair of wins, but was sidelined for the past few weeks after an accident at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) during the 19th Annual Dirt Late Model Dream on Saturday, June 8th. During his heat race he was running in a transfer spot to the $100,000-to-win finale, when a mud clod struck him in the helmet. The clod busted his face shield fracturing his nose and sinus cavity. Two weeks ago he underwent surgery to repair the injuries, and has now been cleared by doctors to return to action.

"I can't thank everyone enough for their thoughts and well wishes during my recovery from the accident," comments Hawkins. "It's really meant a lot to me, and I'm excited to get back behind the wheel this weekend!"

The team plans to invade Elkins Raceway (Kerens, West Virginia) this weekend, June 28th-29th for two nights of ADRA Super Late Model action during the Stars and Stripes Topless weekend. On Friday night a complete program will be held for topless Super Late Models, while Saturday's program will consist of a $2,000-to-win event as well as a second feature that will see the field inverted for a $3,000-to-win finale.
