Kennedy Motorsports Drivers Set for Firecracker 100 before Heading West with WoO

Phoenix, AZ (June 25, 2013) Kennedy Motorsports (KMS) drivers Shane Clanton, Zebulon, GA and Tim Fuller, Watertown, NY are set to invade Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, PA for the 7th Annual 'Firecracker 100' presented by GottaRace.com on Thursday - Friday - Saturday, June 27 - 28 - 29.  The World of Outlaws Late Model Series event will pay $30,000 to the winner on Saturday after two preliminary, $6,000 to-win events on Thursday and Friday.

Both KMS drivers are no strangers to Lernerville's 'Sheetz Victory Lane' as both Clanton and Fuller have won at the Sarver, PA 4/10mi oval. Clanton, became a firecracker champion in 2010 along with winning an All Star Late Model Series event there, also in 2010.  Fuller was victorious at the famed 'Action Track' with the Super Dirt Series and his Big Block Modified.

'Lernerville is one of my favorite tracks we go to,' Fuller, who sits fifth in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series point standings, said. 'We've had four top-ten's in our past six starts including a heat win at Eldora at the beginning of the month. I think our program has improved over the past month or so and we've started getting better results. I'm looking forward to this year's Firecracker more this year than I have in the past. It should be a good weekend for us.'

Clanton, does have a love/hate relationship with Lernerville. His 2010 Firecracker 100 win is, of course, a reason to love it, but Clanton has also been bitten by Lernerville's front stretch wall. In 2005, Shane smacked the wall out of turn four; the contact led to a separated shoulder for the 'Georgia Bulldog' and sidelined him from competition for an extended period and left him 10th in World of Outlaws Late Model Series points after missing seven events due to the injury.

'Winning the Firecracker in 2010 has erased all memories of that 2005 incident,' Clanton exclaimed. 'We've been good the past few weeks and have been in the top-five more often than not the past few weeks and we've been pretty consistent on the Outlaws tour all year.' Shane sits just 22 points behind point leader Josh Richards. 'We're really looking forward to the Firecracker, our Capital Race Car was really good there all three nights last year and we came on strong towards the end of the 100 lapper last year. We just need to qualify well and get ourselves in a good position to start the race and I think we'll have a shot at it.'

New Kennedy Motorsports apparel from Slavic Custom Racing Apparel will be available at this upcoming weekend's Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com. A full line of shirts, hats, and other merchandise is available for both Shane Clanton and Tim Fuller. Merchandise will be available at the Slavic Custom Racing Apparel trailer and each driver's trailer. Merchandise will also be available at the official online home of Kennedy Motorsports, www.kennedymotorsports.us, in the very near future.

After the Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com, the KMS team's will head west for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series 'Wild West Tour'. The tour will kick off on July 5 and run through July 12 and will feature stops at Amsoil Speedway in Superior, WI, Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, MN, Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City, SD, Gillette Thunder Speedway in Gillette, WY, Red River Co-op Speedway in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, ND.

For more information on these events please visit www.woolms.com.

Bobby Labonte Racing and Pearson Jr. Win at Wythe
Promising Points Weekend for BLR Team

Trinity, N.C. (June 26, 2013) - Bobby Labonte Racing (BLR) started its three-race weekend in Swainsboro, Ga.  The team had a rough weekend previously at Magnolia Motor Speedway, where a flat tire before the feature started put the No. 44 starting at the back.  Earl Pearson Jr. was never able to gain momentum and move forward.  Pearson Jr. and the team were ready to make huge improvements in the next three races.

Pearson Jr. set fast time and won his respective heat Thursday night at Swainsboro Raceway.  He started second in the feature but took the lead early on and led 32 laps until Dennis Erb Jr. passed on the high side and went on to win the feature followed by Pearson Jr. in second.

"We really wanted to win this race tonight," said Pearson Jr.  "I had a lot of friends and family here that drove up from Florida to watch the team race.  We had a strong car all night."

The BLR team headed to Cherokee Speedway for Friday night's Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model Series (LODLMS) race.  Kevin Rumley and Steve Shaver with the No. 6 Longhorn chassis joined the BLR team at Cherokee Speedway.  In preliminary action, Shaver set fast time for Group A.  Pearson Jr. started seventh in the feature and Shaver started 20th.  The track was tough to race and pass on, which caused both drivers to have a tough time to gain forward momentum.  Pearson Jr. finished in seventh place and Shaver in 21st.

Both the BLR and No. 6 teams packed up and headed to Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Va., on Saturday night.  Justin Labonte in his No. 44 Longhorn joined Pearson Jr. and Shaver at Wythe Raceway.  Pearson Jr. won Heat 3 which gave him a third-place start in the feature.  Shaver started ninth and Labonte 16th in the feature.  John Blankenship and Pearson Jr. battled for the lead in the final eight laps.  Pearson Jr. was able to pull away from Blankenship on the final lap of the race to take the checkered flag.  "The Hurricane" put the No. 44 Lucas Oil Longhorn Chassis back in Victory Lane, with Shaver finishing third and Labonte in 21st.

"I have to thank all the fans," said Pearson Jr.  "I think we put on a great show for them tonight.  I appreciate John racing me tough. I didn't think I was going to get around him but I found a different line and went with it.  I'd like to thank Lucas Oil and all my sponsors.  I'm excited to be back in Victory Lane with the No. 44 Bobby Labonte Racing Longhorn Chevrolet."

The win was Pearson Jr.'s second of the 2013 season and 26th for his career.  Pearson Jr. is sixth in Lucas Oil Championship Points, only 225 points away from leader Jimmy Owens.  The BLR team will take the week off to prepare for the next couple weeks.  It will be back in action July 3 and 4 in Ohio.

Keep an eye on the website for new photos and information on the team: www.bobbylabonteracing.com.  For live updates from the races each week, follow Earl Pearson Jr. and Bobby Labonte Racing on Twitter and Facebook.

About Longhorn Chassis
Longhorn Chassis was founded in 2010 by NASCAR Champion Bobby Labonte, along with his brother and two-time NASCAR Champion, Terry Labonte. After numerous successful seasons as a Dirt Late Model team owner with driver Earl Pearson Jr., Labonte decided to take it one step further with his racing operations and the team started building their own race cars, in shop. The first two late model chassis built out of Longhorn Chassis went to Justin Labonte and the house car, driven by Earl Pearson Jr. Pearson would debut his Longhorn Chassis at the North/South 100 in Florence, Ky., where he finished a solid second, he'd later record Longhorn Chassis' first Victory at the 2010 Dirt Track World Championships at West Virginia Motor Speedway. With just a couple of racing season under their belts, and numerous wins, Longhorn Chassis has already proven its strength and ability on the track.

Bub McCool Wins WoO Race in New York; Firecracker Weekend Next

Vicksburg, MS (06/26/13) – Bub McCool enjoyed a big night on Tuesday by scoring his second-career, World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Model feature win with an $8,000 triumph at Canandaigua Motorsports Park (Canandaigua, New York) in his #57J McCool Logging/Southern Belle/Schaeffer Oil/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model.

Twenty-three Super Late Models entered the program at the big, 1/2 mile oval, and via preliminary action Bub earned the third starting spot for the 40 lap finale. For the first half of the race he ran in the third spot behind race leader, Clint Smith, and Rick Eckert. However, a lap 29 restart found McCool utilizing the high line to shoot past both front runners to claim the win. Once he got out front he cruised the final ten laps to claim his first WoO victory of the 2013 season, which came over Tim Fuller, Morgan Bagley, Rick Eckert, and Tim McCreadie. The victory was his third overall of the 2013 season.

"We've been working hard at it," said McCool, whose victory came two nights after he matched his season-best finish with a third-place run at Cornwall (Ont.) Motor Speedway. "I think we found a little something on the car that's working good and the last couple nights we've done a little more to it. I felt like we may have figured something out."

Bub is now tied for seventh in the latest WoO standings. For complete event results from the events and the latest standings please visit www.WoOLMS.com .

This weekend, June 27th-29th, McCool Motorsports will enter the 7th Annual Firecracker 100 at Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pennsylvania), which will be sanctioned by the World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Models. Ross Camponovo Wins Pair of CCSDS Events; Firecracker 100 Next

Clarksdale, Mississippi (06/26/13) – Ross Camponovo continued his career season over the weekend with back-to-back wins with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Models in his #18 Camponovo Farms/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/RPM Racing Engine Super Late Model to the biggest win of his young career.

Ross Camponovo opened a doubleheader weekend with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Models on Friday night at Camden Speedway (Camden, Tennessee), and when the checkered flag dropped on the feature he had claimed his first-ever win with the tour.

Twenty-four Super Late Models registered for battle in the program, and Camponovo started the night by winning his heat race from the second starting spot to lock into the outside-front-row starting spot for the feature, alongside pole sitter, Kyle Beard. As the race went green Camponovo jumped to the lead, and despite several challenges from Beard he led all 35 laps to score the victory. Beard, Robert Baker, Clay Fisher, and Todd Hall rounded out the top five finishers.

With the momentum from Friday night in his corner Ross invaded Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) on Saturday night for another $2,000-to-win, CCSDS event. With twenty-three Super Late Models entered he started his night by blazing to fast time honors to earn the pole position for the first heat race. A win in his heat race locked Camponovo into the pole for the feature event with Jon Kirby starting alongside. As the race went green Ross bolted to the lead and would endure heavy lapped traffic early in the affair, which allowed Jon Kirby to apply heavy pressure for the lead. However, as the race progressed Camponovo was able to stretch his advantage. It appeared that he would be on his way to the easy win, but in the closing laps Ashley Newman mounted a charge and actually grabbed the lead briefly on the white flag lap before Camponovo charged to the win by a matter of feet! The victory was his fourth overall of the 2013 season.

Ross has now taken over the point lead in the CCSDS with a twelve marker advantage over Kyle Beard. Full results from both events and complete series' standings are available at www.COMPDirt.com .

Ross Camponovo will enter his first-ever event this weekend, June 27th-29th, at Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pennsylvania) during the 7th Annual Firecracker 100, which will be sanctioned by the World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Models. On Thursday and Friday evening complete shows will be contested, which will be headlined by a $6,000-to-win features with Saturday's program seeing a $30,000-to-win finale. Dennis Erb, Jr. Slays Foes at Swainsboro for Fourth Lucas Oil Win; Summer Nats Dates Next!

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team racked up their fourth Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series triumph of 2013 on Thursday night, June 20 in their first visit to the Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, Georgia! Dennis timed in fourth quickest during the qualifying session and later ran second in heat race action. After rolling off from the outside of the second row in the 50-lap feature event, Dennis grabbed the point on lap 33 and never looked back. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace picked up the $10,000 payday over Earl Pearson, Jr., Jared Landers, Don O'Neal, and Steve Francis!

On Friday evening, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series took the Dennis Erb Racing team to the legendary Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina for the annual running of the 'Grassy Smith Memorial.' Dennis ran third in his heat race prior to picking off six competitors during the $10,000 to win A-Main en route to a third place performance behind only winner Chris Madden and runner-up Steve Francis. Saturday's stop at the picturesque Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia then wrapped up the tripleheader weekend. Dennis finished fourth in his heat race and later drove his Team Zero by Bloomquist racecar to a ninth place effort in the $10,000 to win 'Blue Ridge 50.' Complete results from the triple shot of LOLMDS competition can be viewed online at www.lucasdirt.com.

"We had a good weekend in the Southeast, obviously highlighted by that win at Swainsboro," commented Erb, who currently finds himself fifth in the latest Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point standings. "I told (crew chief) Heather (Lyne) early in the night that I thought Swainsboro looked like my kind of racetrack and it turned out that our car performed really well all night. Then at Cherokee, we had a freak deal during hot laps that severed a line going to the motor, so we had to bring out a backup car. Things turned out well that night, as we raced up to third, but we were under-powered at Wythe on Saturday. So, to leave Wythe with a top ten without our big motor, we will take it and get ready to run some Summer Nationals races this week!"

With the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series taking a hiatus this week, Dennis plans to tackle five UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals shows in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, and Illinois from June 26-30. Things will kick off tonight with a visit to the Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, Tennessee, a place where Dennis picked up the $7,500 win last year on the "Hell Tour." You can watch the #28 team in action at the following venues this week:

June 26 | Clarksville (TN) Speedway, Summer Nationals | $5,000 to win
June 27 | Clayhill (TN) Motorsports, Summer Nationals | $5,000 to win
June 28 | Paducah (KY) Int'l Raceway, Summer Nationals | $10,000 to win
June 29 | Federated Raceway (MO) at I-55, Summer Nationals | $10,000 to win
June 30 | Lincoln (IL) Speedway, Summer Nationals | $10,000 to win

Dennis would like to thank all of his sponsors including: J.R. McBride Leasing, JL Scrap Metals, Kuntz & Company Racing Engines, Team Zero by Bloomquist, Petersen Aluminum, Performance Rod & Custom (PRC), C.J. Rayburn Race Cars, Hoosier Racing Tires, Fusion Graphics & Sign Company, AFCO Racing Products, Allstar Performance, Aurora Rod Ends, Beyea Custom Headers, Brinn Transmissions, Dyer's Top Rods, Envy Suspension & Race Consultants, Fel-Pro Gaskets, Five Star Performance Bodies, Frankland Racing Supply, K-B Carburetors, Mason Racin', Performance Engineering & Manufacturing, Peterson Fluid Systems, Simpson Race Products, Sweet Mfg., T&D Machine Products, VP Racing Fuels, Weld Wheels, Wiles Driveshafts, and Wilwood Engineering.

Hahn Places 10th in Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Sizzlin' Summer Speedweek Standings

Inside Line Promotions - WHEATLAND, Mo. (June 25, 2013) - Mission accomplished.

Not only did Brandon Hahn survive the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Sizzlin' Summer Speedweek, he finished 10th in the standings during the six-race, nine-day event.

"I think the overall Speedweek was pretty good," he said. "We didn't have the best finishes, but we didn't tear up very much stuff.

"I think the main thing I learned is a little bit of patience. There's a lot of races and you've got to try not to force things. You've got to keep your stuff together. Putting your stuff together at five in the morning when you have to race that day is no fun."

Hahn opened the second half of the Sizzlin' Summer Speedweek last Wednesday at Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Okla., where he struggled with a fuel issue all night. It hampered him in his heat race when he dropped from third to sixth, which put him at the back of a B Main.

"The track was fast all night," he said. "That was the first night out with the brand new motor and our fuel was off all night. We got out of the gate horrible in that heat race. We started real deep in the B feature and I just couldn't make anything happen."

Hahn finished 11th in a B Main to miss transferring to the feature.

The team competed the following night at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla., where things went smoother. Hahn moved from fourth to third in his heat race to earn the 15th-most points and advance to the feature.

"We got our fuel right the next night at Creek County," Hahn said. "The car ran really good. We really just weren't that good in the A Feature. I was loose entering all night. I didn't have the best finish, but made the A Feature. That's the most important thing. And my car came home in one piece. That's the second most important thing."

Hahn placed 18th to earn his 11th top-20 finish of the season.

Speedweek concluded on Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway, where Hahn charged from fourth to second in a B Main to advance to the main event after placing fifth in his heat race.

"I ran really, really well in the B Feature," he said. "Me and (Tyler Blank) had a heck of a race for about five laps, slide job after slide job. It was really fun.

"They watered the track right before we went out (for the main event). I went out with nine inches of stagger and it was right around the bottom. I was just way too tight at the beginning of the race. It was just not working for me until about Lap 15. And then it took rubber. Not much passing going on that night."

Hahn finished where he started - 19th - to end Speedweek in the top 10 in points. He also ranks 10th in the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour championship standings.

He is taking this weekend off before returning to action on Saturday, July 6, at I-90 Speedway in Hartford, S.D., with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.
