Greenville, Mississippi (10/01/14) – It's the beginning of October, and that only means one thing.  It's time for the 8th Annual Gumbo Nationals at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi)!

This Thursday-Saturday, October 2nd-4th the gumbo will be set on fire as top drivers from across the region converge on the 1/4 mile bullring for their share of over $70,000 in money that will be paid out.

The Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) will again sanction the event, which marks the richest Super Late Model payout in the history of the facility. A $10,000 winner's check is up for grabs with $1,000 just to take the green flag in the 75 lap feature.

Entries from more than eight states are expected and are led by four-time and defending race champion, Bub McCool from Vicksburg, Mississippi. If Bub looks to repeat he will find the going far from easy. Current MSCCS point leader, David Breazeale leads the charge for the tour into the event. He will be joined by other touring trendsetters including COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Champion, Kyle Beard from Trumann, Arkansas and P&W Sales SUPR Super Late Model point leader, Jon Mitchell from Texarkana, Texas. 2014 Greenville Speedway track champion, Duke Palasini will look to upset the travelers.
