FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Talented Field of Competitors Look to Tame the Gumbo for $10k this Weekend A beautiful weather forecast combined with a great field of competitors will make this a must-see event in 2015. In 2014 Louisiana native, Timothy Culp claimed the biggest win of his young career by scoring the $10,000 payday. Culp will return this year in a team car to Tyler Erb as he looks to repeat. The going will not be easy for the attempt at back-to-back wins as a talented field of drivers are looking to stand in his way. Expected entrants include Bub McCool, Billy Moyer Jr., Rick Rickman, Brian Rickman, Chad Thrash, Neil Baggett, Jack Sullivan, Tyler Erb, Eric Cooley, Doug Showah, Ronny Lee Hollingsworth, Garrett Alberson, Ray Moore, Ross Camponovo, Dane Dacus, Ashley Newman, Kyle Beard, B.J. Robinson, Allen Tippen, and a host of others. For 2015 the Super Late Model division will battle a total payout in excess of $40,000 as the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) Super Late Model thunders into town. The finale will be headlined by a $10,000-to-win/$1,000-to-start, 75 lap feature, which again matches the richest event in the facilities history. All Super Late Models will be required to run an 8" spoiler. 9th Annual Gumbo Nationals Main Event Payout $125 Entry Fee for Super Late Models Super Late Model Tire Rule: The NeSmith Weekly Crate Late Models will contest their own $3,000-to-win/$300 to start event with time trials and heat race action on Friday night, while b-mains and their finale will be held on Saturday night. Crate Late Model entry fee is $100. In total over $70,000 will be distributed during the huge event. Complete payouts for all divisions may be found at www.GreenvilleSpeedway.net . On Thursday evening gates open at 5pm with an Open Practice Session from 7pm to 10pm. Friday night will find pit gates opening at 4pm with racing action at 7pm. Saturday night will see pit gates opening at 2pm with racing action starting at 5:30pm. Grandstand admission is free on Thursday night. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults on Friday night with kids $5. On Saturday night grandstand admission is $20 kids $5. Grandstand gates open at 5pm on Friday and 4pm on Saturday. Pit admission on Thursday night is $15. Friday night pit admission is $30 and Saturday night pit admission is $35. Kids ages 6-14 years-of-age are $10 in the pits each night, and ages 5 & under are free. Three day pit passes are available for $75.
