7th Annual Gumbo Nationals on October 3rd-5th at Greenville Speedway

Greenville, Mississippi (09/19/13) – In less than two weeks it will be time to set the gumbo on fire as the 7th Annual Gumbo Nationals will come to life at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) on October 3rd-5th, 2013.

Over the past several years Wesley Washington and James Clolinger have worked diligently to transform Greenville Speedway into a showplace for racing in the area.  Whether it be work on the track surface, new walls in the corners for an added safety measure, or a host of other improvements their hard work has resulted in some of the best racing in the region during the past few years.

The event continues to grow for 2013 with an event that is headlined by the Super Late Model pilots battling for a total purse boasting over $30,000 with the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) sanctioning the event for the second, straight year.

Super Late Model pilots will compete in a $7,500-to-win/$700-to-start, 70 lap event.

On Thursday, October 3rd an Open Practice Session will be held.  Friday, October 4th will see qualifying as well as heat race action contested for the Super Late Model division.  Saturday night, October 5th will be headlined by a pair of b-main events and the 70 lap finale
