Tyler Erb Tackles First CCSDS Victory; Thunder Valley Next

Magnolia, Texas (06/15/15) – 18-year-old, Tyler Erb continued his breakout season over the weekend in his First Class Septic #91 Black Diamond Super Late Model by pocketing the first COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) feature win of his young career.

Saturday evening took the team to East Texas Speedway (Petty, Texas), where the CCSDS sanctioned a $2,500-to-win event. Make his debut at the brand-new facility Erb started 4^th on the grid for the 30 lap finale. He used the highline to work his way forward in the field, and on lap 16 he shot past leader, Robert Baker, into the top spot. Once out front he cruised to the victory. Baker, Patrik Daniel, Kyle Beard, and Jack Sullivan completed the top five.

“The recent rain left the track surface a little challenging, but I really liked it tonight,” said Erb. “I want to thank my family, my team, my sponsors, and my fans for their support. Right now our team is performing really well, and I can’t wait for the next race.”

A night earlier the team competed at Outlaw Motor Speedway (Muskogee, Oklahoma) for an event co-sanctioned by the Mid America Racing Series (MARS) and COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS). Competing against a stout field of 38 entries, Erb had to rely on his B-Main performance after placing 4th in his heat. With a 2nd place finish in the B-Main, Tyler raced into the finale, where he scored a 13th place finish.

Tony Jackson Jr. Wins at Outlaw; Springfield Next

Lebanon, Missouri (06/15/15) –Tony Jackson Jr. overcame a stout field of MARS and CCSDS competitors in his Henryetta Ford #56 Black Diamond by Club 29/Cornett Racing Engine Super Late Model to claim the $3,000 victory on Friday evening at Outlaw Motor Speedway.

The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) and Mid America Racing Series (MARS) drivers clashed in a $3,000-to-win affair at Outlaw Motor Speedway (Muskogee, Oklahoma) on Friday evening. A heat race win sent Tony to the 40 lap finale. He stalked leaders, Will Vaught and Randy Timms, before surging to the lead late in the race. Once out front he raced to his third win of the year. Jack Sullivan, Robert Baker, Clay Fisher, and Justin Asplin completed the top five.

“I hated to see Will (Vaught) and Randy (Timms) run into bad luck there, but I guess it’s all part of the game,” said Jackson Jr. “We’ve had our fair share of misfortune this year, so it was nice to be no the other end of the spectrum for a change. We had a really good car and to claim a win against such a strong field of cars feels really great.”

Saturday night’s scheduled MARS event at Longdale Speedway (Longdale, Oklahoma) was nixed by rain.

Pair of Weekend Wins for Ricky Weiss

Headingly, Manitoba, Canada (06/15/15) – Ricky Weiss pushed his 2015 win tally to seven over the weekend by powering his Derrick’s Sandblasting #7 Bloomquist Chassis/Pro Power Racing Engine Late Model to a pair of victories.

Ricky Weiss continued his 2015 campaign on Thursday evening by returning to Red River Co-Op Speedway (Winnipeg, Manitoba), fresh off his victory at the facility last weekend. The night began with Weiss finding victory lane in his heat race. Following an 8th place starting position in the feature, Weiss climbed six positions to record a 2nd place finish behind race winner, Bill Mooney with Shane Edginton, Kevin Sexton and Mike Martin rounding out the top five.

The next night brought Weiss to I-94 Speedway (Fergus Falls, Minnesota) to pilot the Derrick's Sandblasting #7 Bloomquist/Pro Power Racing Super Late Model in a Weekly Racing Series Event. With a field of seventeen cars entered, Ricky charged from his 4th place starting spot in the feature to capture his sixth win of the season. Weiss was followed to the finish line by Cody Skytland, Cole Schill, Shawn Kirwin and Matt Aukland

On Saturday night Ricky Weiss continued his busy weekend by traveling to Viking Speedway (Alexandria, Minnesota) for a regular night of racing. Following a feature win the previous night, Weiss managed to pilot his Super Late Model into victory lane once again. In the feature event Ricky bounced back from his 3rd place finish in his heat to gain six positions in the feature to record his seventh win of the season with Cody Skytland, Casey Meyer, Jeff Wildung and Matt Aukland completing the top five finishers.

Jared Landers Finishes 2nd at Clash at the Mag; Three Day Race Weekend Next

Batesville, Arkansas (06/15/15) - Jared Landers powered his Crop Production Services #777 Mark Martin Automotive/Sweet Bloomquist/Durham Racing Engine Super Late Model to a runner-up finish in the Clash at the Mag.

On Friday night Jared Landers made the trip to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) for the two day Clash at the Mag, which was sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS). With forty-three Super Late Models on hand, in hopes to bring home the $20,000 payday Saturday, Landers scored a 2nd place finish in his heat transferring him into the 100 lap feature event on Saturday evening. Following a 8th place starting spot in the finale, Jared charged through the field to place 2nd behind race winner, Jonathan Davenport with Jimmy Owens, Don O’Neal and Brandon Sheppard completing the top five finishers in the $20,000-to-win affair.

“We had a really good car all weekend,” said Landers. “My crew guys told me after the race that in the last ten or so laps that I was actually turning faster laps than Jonathan (Davenport). However, I know that catching him and passing him would’ve been two different things.”

Jared concluded by noting, “It just feels good to be a contender again. Every time that we unload I feel like we have a chance now. I have to thank my crew and sponsors for their great support and help. Hopefully we can knock some more wins down in the very near future.
