Duck River Speedway to Kick Off 2012 Season Saturday March 24th
Wheel, TN (03/19/2012) – Duck River Speedway (Wheel, Tn.) will kick off its 2012 season this Saturday March 24, 2012 with a full regular race program. Back under the management of Jim Hastings and Tim Smith, weekly racing returns in 2012 to the speedway after a limited schedule of special events ran in 2011. Hastings and Smith have been hard at work since January to put together a schedule, rules and preparing the track to bring back a weekly racing program for racers and fans at Duck River Speedway for 2012.
Saturday’s racing program will see all divisions racing that include; Super Late Models, 2 Barrel Late Models, Pure Stock, Outlaw Pony, Pure Stock Pony, Rookie Pony and Legends. The first race of the season will be a non-points race. Super Late Models and 2 Barrel Late Models will qualify for starting positions and all other divisions will run heat races to determine starting spots.
Action is set to get started on Saturday March 24th, 2012 with Gates Opening at 3 pm, Drivers Meeting will be at 5 pm and Hot Laps and Racing to begin shortly after the drivers meeting. General Admission will be $10 Kids 6-12 $5 and Kids 5 and under Free. Pit Admission will be $25, Kids 12 and Under $5.
Race fans come on out and enjoy a night of great racing and see some of the south’s best racing action since 1973 at Duck River Speedway in Wheel, Tn.
