Big Changes, Big Events and Big Time Racing is back at Duck River Raceway Park for 2013

Wheel, TN (01/17/2013) – Duck River Raceway Park’s 2013 season is fast approaching with a spectacular year planned for racers and fans. This will mark Duck River Raceway Parks 40th year of racing and it’s going to be one for the record books.

The 2013 season is set to get started on March 2nd, 2013 with a regular scheduled event and racing to continue each and every Saturday night after. DRRP, has several big events lined up this year beginning on March 24th with the World of Outlaws Late Models (WoO) $10,000 to-win, Ray Cook’s Spring Nationals $4000 to-win super late models on May 9th, SRRS (Southern Regional Racing Series) Super Late Models on May 25th, June 27th and Aug. 30th, the Kajun Mini Stock Association on July 27th and the 2nd Annual Deep Fried 75 $10,000 to-win date Nov. 14th-16th, alongside regular weekend shows and other special events in between.

“We are very excited for the 2013 season to get underway. We’ve been hard at work to get things ready for the season with all the upgrades along with scheduling some outstanding races for 2013. Fans have been asking to bring back big time racing back to Duck River and we are proud to do so by bringing in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series, Ray Cooks Spring Nationals and the SRRS series for some exciting racing along with our weekly scheduled racing this season at Duck River.” Says Harris

2013 will see a points championship for all classes like no other at Duck River Raceway Park with a monetary point fund. In 2013 for every ticket sold throughout the season, $1 will be taken from each ticket and put in a point fund. At the seasons end, those who race for points during the season will receive a monetary prize for the position they finished in the 2013 Points Championship at Duck River Raceway Park.

Fans and teams have seen several changes in 2012 but when the gates open for 2013, Duck River Raceway Park will be on the next level with the winter projects that have taken place. Fans will see new bathrooms, new seating, new concession stand, new tower, new pit layout and several other surprises in the works.
