CT Promotions Announces More Details Concerning Deep Fried 75 at Duck River November 15, 16

Somerset, KY-October 21, 2013- CT Promotions is pleased to announce more details concerning the biggest Super Late Model event it has ever sanctioned, the 2nd Annual Deep Fried 75, which will take place at Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, TN on Friday and Saturday November 15 and 16.  This must-see event will be 75 laps in distance and pay $10,000 to win and $700 to start. 

Microtel Named Official Host Hotel
Microtel Inn and Suites in Shelbyville, TN will serve as the Official Host Hotel for the Deep Fried 75 at Duck River Raceway Park.  Microtel Inn and Suites is located at 1207 North Main Street in Shelbyville, TN 37160.  Room rates will be $69.00 per night for single, $74.00 per night for double, and $79.00 per night for a suite.  Patrons must use the promo code “Deep Fried 75” to be eligible for these room rates.  Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check out time is 11:00 a.m (these times are CDT).  Patrons will also have access to a free continental breakfast, free Wi-Fi internet access, and a 24 hour a day fitness center, along with a large selection of restaurants located nearby.  These rates will only be available November 14 through November 16.  To make reservations for the weekend, phone (931) 684-8343.

Jim Harrah will serve as Chief Technical Inspector 
In another announcement concerning this big event, CT Promotions has secured the services of veteran car technical inspector Jim Harrah for this event.  Harrah is a former technical inspector for the old Hav-a-Tampa Dirt Racing Series and has also worked with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series, and is currently handling car technical inspections for the National Dirt Racing League (NDRL).  Harrah will be in charge of all race car technical inspections of the Super Late Models for the weekend for the Deep Fried 75 event. 

Super Late Model Rules for the Deep Fried 75
CT Promotions will officiate the Super Late Model portion of the event and will utilize the following tire compound rules:  Hoosier 1600 (shoulder plated) & LM40, American Racer 56 with those compounds only on the rear and they must punch 55 before any race or qualifying, open compound tires on the front.  Random tire samples will also be taken throughout the course of the weekend’s events.  All entries will be required to utilize an eight inch spoiler.  The weight rule will be 2,300 lbs. for cars with an open engine, while those cars utilizing a steel-block engine will have to weight 2,200 lbs.  Late Model entries equipped with the CT525 all aluminum crate will also be allowed to compete and must weigh 2,250 lbs.  There will a 1 pound per lap burnoff allowance in the heats, last chance showdowns, non-qualifiers event, and the 75 lap, $10,000 to win A-Main event.

Pre-Entry Forms now available
Duck River Raceway Park track promoters Bob and Cathy Harris would also like to encourage race teams to pre-enter for the event, as it will save them $25.  Pre-entry information will be posted on the track’s website at www.duckriverracewaypark.com and the Super Late Model entry fee is $100 if a race team is pre-entered and Duck River Raceway Park receives the entry prior to the event.  The entry fee is $125 on raceday and that is good for the entire weekend.
 
The Deep Fried 75 was first contested at Duck River Raceway Park in 2012 and Vic Hill of Mosheim, TN would be victorious in an exciting main event.  North Carolina native Ray Cook would take runner-up honors, with Virginia’s Walker Arthur finishing third.  Illinois native Dennis Erb, Jr. would finish fourth, while Mississippi’s Ross Campanova would complete the top five in the event that drew 38 entries from all across our great country.
