Labor Day Triple Crown Announced for SLM's Between Boyd's, Fort Payne & Duck River $3000 To Win $300 To Start 50 laps, $2000 Points Fund to Compete in All 3 Events

Chattanooga, TN (8/4/14) --- Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee dirt tracks have banded together for the first time to offer a "Labor Day Triple Crown" mini series of events for Super Late Models.

Boyd's Speedway on the Tennessee/Georgia stateline, Fort Payne Motor Speedway in Alabama and Duck River Raceway Park in middle Tennessee will each host a $3,000 to-WIN / $300 to-Start SLM race to wrap up the month of August. Each track will collect the same $100 entry fee from SLM racers in attendance and have available full 24-car fields to start the 50 lap races. Tow money of $50 will be offered to any competitor attempting to make the race thru a B-Main, that fails to transfer into the night's feature. Failure to attempt to start the SLM feature forfeits a driver from any/all guaranteed start money. Each track will govern their own SLM rules and qualifying format procedures. Only racers that compete in all three events will be eligible for the $2,000 points fund, payable at the conclusion of the weekend.

Boyd's Speedway will kick off the 3-day extravaganza with the National Boiler Service 50 Friday night August 29th. The meet in the Labor Day sandwich is the Complete Cash 50 Saturday, August 30th at Fort Payne Motor Speedway, while the finale the Sam Pugh Extravaganza is hosted by Duck River Raceway Park on Sunday, August 31st.

If one driver wins all three SLM races the points money will put a $10,000 payday in their pocket. In the event of a points tie in any of the Top 5 points positions, the tie-breaker will be highest Top 5 finishes starting with number of runner-up finishes. This event is being run in cooperation of all three track promoters/owners: Dale McDowell/David Duplissey of Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Ga.), Marvin Ford or Fort Payne Motor Speedway (Fort Payne, Ala.) and David Gentry/Bob Harris Duck River Raceway Park (Wheel, Tn.) and is being produced by Steve Hixson.
