411 Motor Speedway Starts 2015 with CT Promotions-Sanctioned 5th Annual Hangover 40 January 1

SOMERSET, KY (December 1, 2014)—CT Promotions is pleased to announce that they will sanction the 5th Annual Hangover 40 at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN on Thursday January 1.  This will mark the first-time ever this event has been held for Super Late Models and CT Promotions will sanction the Super Late Model portion of the program that will pay $4,000 to win and $450 to start as 411 Motor Speedway track owner Mitch McCarter and CT Promotions present the first must-see event for all the racers and fans in the East Tennessee area in 2015.

The 5th Annual Hangover 40 event will take place on Thursday January 1 at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN and will see Super Late Models in competition in a full program of practice, time trials, Pole Dash, Last Chance heat races, and the 40 lap, $4,000 to win/$450 to start 5th Annual Hangover 40 A-Main.  Providing support division action at 411 Speedway on Thursday January 1 will be the track’s Sportsman, Street Stock, and Mini Stock divisions.  Also of note, CT Promotions have posted bonuses in for the Steel Head Late Models and Crate Late Models that choose to compete with the Super Late Models at this event.  The highest finishing Steel Head Late Model entry in the Hangover 40 A-Main will receive a $200 bonus, while the highest finishing Crate Late Model entry in the Hangover 40 A-Main will receive a $200 bonus.

Activities for the 5th Annual Hangover 40 at 411 Motor Speedway on Thursday January 1 will see the pit area open at 10:00 a.m., with the general admission area opening at 11:00 a.m.  The drivers meeting will take place at 1:00 p.m., followed immediately by practice, time trials, and green flag racing.  All times listed are Eastern Time.  In the case of inclement weather, a make-up date of Saturday January 3 is already in place.

Prices for tickets for the 5th Annual Hangover 40 at 411 Motor Speedway on Thursday January 1 in the general admission area will be $18 for adults, with children ages 12 and under free.  Pit passes for the event will cost $35, with children ages 12 and under allowed in the pit area for $15 with a signed release.

CT Promotions will sanction the Super Late Model portion of the program and the following tire rules will be in place for the event:  Hoosier 1350, 1600 or Crate 21 and/or American Racer 48 or 56 on the rear, open compound on the front.  These tire compound rules apply to all four tires on the race cars.  Also, random tire samples will taken by CT Promotions during the course of the event.  The Super Late Model entry fee is $100 and transponders will be used for timing and scoring and those can be rented for $20 ($10 fee if driver has their own transponder).

Weight and spoiler rules for the event are as follows:  Open Motors- 2,350 lbs. and 8” spoiler; Steel Block/Aluminum Head-SPEC Motor Only- 2,300 lbs. and 8” spoiler with 12” sides; CT525 Motors- 2,250 lbs. and 8” spoiler; ALL Steel Motors/Crate Engines- 2,250 lbs. and 12” spoiler.  There will also be a one pound per lap, plus five more pounds, burn off in last chance heats and A-Main.  Any driver utilizing a HANS device will receive a 30 pound weight break and any car that has a working fire extinguisher on board will receive a 20 pound weight break.

This will be the fifth edition of the Hangover 40 event at 411 Motor Speedway, with the four previous events being held for Steel Head Late Models.  Debuting in 2011, Brad Lowe was the inaugural event winner, while Brad Hall won the event in 2012.  Josh Collins captured the 2013 Hangover race, while Cory Hedgecock was the 2014 Hangover winner and is the defending race champion.
