Johnny Pursley Races to Victory in Carolina Clash Finale

Clover, South Carolina (10/21/13) – Johnny Pursley entered the final Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event of the 2013 season on Saturday night in his #09 Pursley Grading/Mastersbilt Super Late Model, and he came away with the $4,000 victory.

Fayetteville Motor Speedway (Fayetteville, North Carolina) played host to the series' final event of the season, and in qualifying for the race Pursley blazed to a lap of 17.431 seconds, which was two tenths faster than any other competitor to lock into the pole position for the 40 lap feature. He was joined on the front row by Steve Blackburn, and it was Pursley, who bolted to the lead as the event went green. He would go on to lead every lap of the feature to score his seventh win of 2013! Blackburn, Dennis Franklin, Scott Shirey, and Dustin Mitchell rounded out the top five finishers.

This weekend, October 26th-27th, Pursley will pull double duty at the inaugural King of the Carolinas event at Carolina Speedway (Gastonia, North Carolina). On Saturday the NDRA Crate Late Models will battle for a $3,000 top prize, while Sunday's event will see Pursley chasing a $2,500 winner's check with the Roush Yates Limited Late Models. Eric Cooley Bags Win in Prelude to the Fall Classic

Fulton, MS (10/21/13) – Saturday night was a great outing for Eric Cooley as he raced to the victory in the Prelude to the Fall Classic at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) in his #33b Bryson Motorsports/Barry Wright/Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model. The win marked his tenth triumph of the 2013 season.

Via preliminary action Cooley earned the outside-front-row starting spot for the feature with Bub McCool starting to his inside. As the feature went green Cooley bolted to the lead, and never looked back on his way to his first-ever victory at the facility, which came over Bub McCool, and Chris Smith.

"I've been wanting to get a win at Whynot for a long time now," commented Cooley. "This car was just awesome all night, so I have to thank my crew and sponsors."

This weekend, October 24th-26th, Cooley will chase the biggest win of his young career in the 19th Annual Coors Light Fall Classic at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi).
