FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Eddie Carrier Jr. Set to Dream this Weekend at Eldora Salt Rock, West Virginia (06/02/15) - Eddie Carrier Jr. is ready to take his Grover Motorsports #28 Optima Batteries/Rocket/Grover Racing Engine Super Late Model into battle this weekend in the 21st Annual Dirt Late Model Dream at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio). “Anytime I get to race at Eldora is special because it’s one of my favorite places,” comments Carrier Jr. “There’s so much history there. The crowds are incredible. Last, but definitely not least there’s a ton of money on the line.” He concludes by noting, “We started the year really strong, but we’ve just been a tick off the past few months. It seems like we are starting to get things pointed back in the right direction though, and a big win at Eldora this weekend could definitely make everything better.” Carrier Jr. has enjoyed multiple strong runs in crown jewels at Eldora Speedway including a runner-up finish in the 2011 edition of the World 100. This weekend the 21st Annual Dirt Late Model Dream will be held at the famed facility. Action opens on Thursday with twin, $2,500-to-win features. Friday plays host to twin $5,000-to-win features. The weekend draws to a close on Saturday evening with the preliminary action leading up to the $100,000-to-win finale. For more information on the events please visit www.EldoraSpeedway.com . Eddie Carrier Jr. returned to Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) competition last weekend. Action opened at Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tennessee) on Friday evening. On Saturday night Eddie Carrier Jr. followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) to Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) for the Ralph Latham Memorial. Following a 5th place finish in his heat that only transfers top 4, Eddie had to resort to the B-Main to make the show. For Immediate Release Todd Morrow Takes Racing Program a Different Direction Chattanooga, Tennessee (06/02/15) – Todd Morrow has announced that effective immediately he will no longer pilot a Super Late Model entry for Tommy Pope and Joey Phillips. “I’m extremely greatly for the opportunity that Tommy (Pope) and Joey (Phillips) provided me, but the time has come for me to go a different direction with my racing program,” said Morrow. “Those guys were really good to me, but the team was just no longer a good fit for me, so I’m relocating my focus back to operations out of my own shop.” Morrow teamed up with Pope and Phillips late in 2014 to pilot the team’s Super Late Model team. The partnership provided mixed results. The biggest strain came in the form of Todd having to split time between his Chattanooga, Tennessee home and the team’s shop, located two hours away in Alabama. “Work has been really busy for me, and then being away from my family made it extremely hard as well,” notes Morrow. “I thought I could balance the distance and driving for two different teams, but it just didn’t work out the way that I hoped.” Morrow will now return to the driver’s seat of his familiar #T1 Super Late Model as he continues the development of the Platinum Chassis. He will also continue to pilot Phillip Baxter’s A-Plus Motorsports #8A GRT Crate Late Model at various events. “I’m really excited to get this first Platinum Chassis on the track because I think there is a lot of potential there,” said Morrow. “The first one is waiting to be assembled, and a second one is already on the jig. Between working on the new car and piloting the A-Plus Motorsports ride I will be plenty busy. I hope to travel a little bit more to race as well.” He concluded by saying, “Best of all though, I’ll have more time for my family.” Next on the docket for Todd Morrow is a trip to 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tennessee) this Saturday, June 6th for the annual J.T. Kerr Memorial. The $4,000-to-win event will be sanctioned by the NeSmith Dirt Late Model Series. For more information on the event, please visit www.NeSmithRacing.com .
