Billy Moyer Racing Forms New Partnership with Labonte Racing, Longhorn Chassis, and Kevin Rumley!

(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS)  Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Billy Moyer, who is coming off a seven-win 2013 season that was highlighted by capturing the inaugural National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) point title, announced today some of his intentions for the upcoming 2014 campaign.  After spending most of the past seven years behind the wheel of a Moyer Victory Circle racecar, Billy has formed an exclusive partnership with Bobby Labonte Racing, Longhorn Chassis, and Kevin Rumley to help design a new chassis for the 2014 racing season.  Longhorn Chassis, which is based out of Trinity, North Carolina, was founded in 2010 by NASCAR Champion Bobby Labonte, along with his brother and two-time NASCAR Champion, Terry Labonte.

"We had some terrific success with Victory Circle over the past seven years and I can't thank everyone out there in California enough for their help and support," stated Moyer earlier today via telephone while spending some free time in Arizona.  "Although we are working with Longhorn for 2014, we will remain a dealer for Victory Circle and will still have a full repair center to assist clients that have Moyer Victory Circle cars."

The partnership with Longhorn Chassis will put Billy and his son Billy Moyer, Jr. in a close working relationship with standout Longhorn drivers Earl Pearson, Jr. and Steve Shaver.  Billy will debut his new Moyer Extreme by Longhorn racecar in the National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) booth at the PRI Trade Show in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 12-14.  The Batesville, Arkansas standout is currently undecided about his 2014 schedule, but should be ready to announce some plans following the PRI Show next month.

"By aligning ourselves with Bobby Labonte Racing, Rumley Racing, Earl Pearson, Jr., and Steve Shaver, we have a lot of experience and knowledge to draw from in getting these new Moyer Extreme by Longhorn cars rolling," Moyer went on to say.  "Kevin Rumley is one of the sharpest guys in our industry and he and I seem to have the same vision in making these racecars go fast.  I look forward to working with everyone at Longhorn Chassis and getting the Moyer Extreme by Longhorn out on the market through our Billy Moyer Racing shop."  In addition to designing the new chassis, BMR will manage all sales and parts exclusively for the new Moyer Extreme by Longhorn with the exception of the Longhorn home states of North Carolina and South Carolina.

BMR would like to thank the following sponsors for their continued support:  Henderson Motorsports, Banner Valley Hauling, Sparks Motor Sports, L&D Trucking, Car City, Clements Racing Engines, Cooley Transport, J&J Steel, Karl Chevrolet, Jack's Carquest, Minx Show Palace, New Vision Graphics, Red Line Oil, Watters Autoland, Moyer Extreme by Longhorn, Allstar Performance, Arizona Sports Shirts, Awesome Racewear, Beyea Headers, Bell Helmets, Bert Transmission, BSB Manufacturing, ButlerBuilt Professional Seat Systems, C&R Racing, Champ Pans, Cizmar, Crower, Dart Heads, Deatherage Opticians, Delph Communications, Eibach Springs, F.A.S.T., Hawk Brakes, Hoosier Racing Tire, Intercomp, ISC Racers Tape, Mason Racin', Midwest Sheet Metal, MSD Ignition, Ohlins Shocks, Performance Bodies, Performance Rod & Custom, Peterson Fluid Systems, Rockhard Powder Coating, Stealth Carburetion, Sunoco Race Fuels, Sweet Mfg., Turbo Start Batteries, TWM Manufacturing, Weld Racing Wheels, and Wiles Racing Driveshafts.

Ray Cook Claims $10,000 NeSmith Win at Bubba Raceway Park; Turkey 100 Closes Season!

(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA)  Brasstown, North Carolina star Ray Cook captured his biggest win of the 2013 racing season on November 22-23 at the Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida, as he bagged $10,000 for emerging victorious in the 9th Annual 'Chevrolet Performance World Championship Race!'  Ray, who was piloting a #114 MasterSbilt Gen-X entry for car owner Howard Stalls, had some issues with the car's nosepiece folding under during Friday's preliminary action.  He qualified twelfth fastest in his group during NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series time trials and later advanced up to eighth in his stacked heat race.

After alleviating the nosepiece problems on Saturday, Ray earned the second transfer spot through his B-Main and later started the 100-lap 'Chevrolet Performance World Championship Race' from the inside of the tenth row.  The popular driver known as the "Tarheel Tiger" then roared through the talented field and eventually grabbed the top spot on lap 43.  Ray then drove off from the pack to score the convincing $10,000 triumph over Mike Pegher, Jr., Kyle Bronson, William Thomas, and Walker Arthur!  Complete results from Bubba Raceway Park can be accessed online at www.nesmithracing.com.

"Howard Stalls asked me to drive his MasterSbilt car for this race back at the beginning of the season, so I am glad that I was able to deliver a win for him and his race team," exclaimed Cook following his twelfth overall win of 2013.  "We had some issues on Friday night with the nosepiece, but we worked hard on Saturday to get those problems fixed.  Once we got in the race through the B-Main, we made the correct call on tire choice and the new set of Integra Shocks by GW Performance were on the money.  Hopefully, we don't start as far back as nineteenth this upcoming weekend at Swainsboro, but I hope the end result is the same with another victory to conclude our season!"

Ray will be back behind the wheel of his familiar #53 ride for his final race of the 2013 campaign, which will come on November 29-30 at the Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, Georgia.  The 13th edition of the 'Turkey 100' will take place this upcoming weekend at Swainsboro and a whopping $20,000 top prize will be on the line for the Crate Late Models.  Preliminary action is scheduled for Friday night, while the 'Turkey 100' will headline Saturday's portion of the weekend at the Paul Purvis owned facility.  Ray is the defending winner of the lucrative Crate Late Model event, as he collected the $20,000 victory last year over Dennis Franklin, Michael Page, Mike Marlar, and Walker Arthur.  Additional information on Swainsboro Raceway can be located by pointing your web browser to www.swainsbororaceway.com.
