The Southern Street Stock Showdown

Street Stocks * $2,000 To Win!
Street Stock racers from across the South will be invading Columbus Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) this Saturday, April 7th for one of the biggest one-day show Street Stock events in the region as the Southern Street Stock Showdown posts a $2,000-to-win/$125-to-start purse. The event was created by track promoters, Mike Mauldin and Jeff Greer, to have a showcase event for one of the most competitive divisions in the Midsouth. Jeff Burns Racing Engines has come on board as a sponsor for the event.
The Southern Street Stock Showdown event format is tentatively set to use the same format used at North Alabama Speedway last Fall which was an overwhelming success, and consists of the following:
Tentative format:
Single lap group Pole Qualifying
Heat Races
B-Mains
Last Chance Dash to fill out the 26-car starting field
30-lap $2,000 to win main event

Increased purses are on the line for the other weekly divisions as well including Super Late Models, who will battle for $1,200-to-win and $100-to-start, a $600-to-win NeSmith Late Models event, a $250-to-win Mini Stocks event, and Pure Stocks battling for $150-to-win.
Grandstand admission is just $10 for adults with ages 11-18/Seniors/Military just $5, while kids 10 & under are free.
Pit addmision is $30 for adults with ages 7-18 just $15, and ages 6 and under FREE.
