Huge Changes for the Championship Late Model Association in 2013

by Cory Moul:
Brighton, CO - December 7th, 2012 - With all of these huge changes the 2013 season is shaping up to be the biggest season ever for the Championship Late Model Association.

In 2013 the series will end a three year run of having all of its races sanctioned by DIRTcar. We have decided that the direction that we were being forced to go to stay sanctioned by DIRTcar was not in the best interest of all of the drivers that race for our series. For the CLMA to have its races remain sanctioned by DIRTcar in 2012 the CLMA was forced to allow the Hoosier DCM 55/LM 40 tire as an option to the Hoosier WRS2 tire that the series was currently using. DIRTcar wanted the CLMA to make the Hoosier DCM 55/LM40 tire the only tire allowed by 2014. This would have made the CLMA the only series west of Missouri not using the Hoosier WRS2 as their primary tire. So drivers can use up the tires that they have the CLMA will allow drivers to use either tire until July 1st, 2013, but after that they will only be allowed to use the Hoosier WRS2.

We will also be changing the name of the series in 2013. The series will now be called the Championship Dirt Motorsports Super Late Model Series Presented by Indy Screen Print. There will be a Northern and Southern series again in 2013 with 15 to 20 races each. Thanks to Rue Stone and Bob Beaudry, Indy Screen Print has signed on to be the Presenting Sponsor for both the Northern & Southern Series for atleast two more years. Also, RaJinRacewear has signed on to be the Dash for Cash Sponsor for all of the Northern & Southern Series races in 2013. RaJin Racewear will pay the winner of each dash for cash $100. We are in the process of getting a few more sponsors to help make life a little easier for the drivers that race with our series.

After our web site was hacked a couple of times at the end of the season we decided to just shut it down. We are in the process of having a new site built. To find information about the Championship Dirt Motorsports Super Late Model Series for now you can use our Facebook page, Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Series, until we are able to change the name on it. We will have the Championship Dirt Motorsports web site up and running by the end of the year.

Thanks to Pat Robley, Royal Jones, Jamie Throckmorten, Jimmy Ray and Mike Tenski the Championship Dirt Motorsports Super Late Model Southern Series Presented by Indy Screen Print will be racing at four of the best tracks in the southwest. The Southern series will have a total of 12 races at Tucson, 4 races at Aztec Speedway in Aztec, NM, 2 races at Southern New Mexico Speedway in LasCruces, NM and 2 races at El Paso Speedway Park in El Paso, TX. The schedule for the Championship Dirt Motorsports Super Late Model Northern Series is in the works and will be out soon.
