Tyler Clem Charges to BRP Checkers; Returns to BRP this Saturday

St. Petersburg, Florida (08/22/16) –  14-year-old, Tyler Clem visited victory lane for the fourth time in 2016 on Saturday night with a triumph at Bubba Raceway Park in his Vahlco Wheels #14 Bubba Army/ Rocket Chassis Late Model.

On Saturday night Tyler Clem returned to Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida), where he competed in the Late Model division. After drawing the 7th-starting position for his heat race, Clem landed a 4th-place finish, which positioned him 8th on the starting grid for the feature.

With 25 laps to work his way forward, Tyler had raced his way into a podium spot by lap 8. Passing for the lead on lap 12, Tyler Clem held off the field for the remaining 13 laps to capture up his fourth victory of the 2016 by nearly six-car lengths.

This win marks Tyler's second Super Late Model victory, along with one in the Modified division and one in his Sprint Car. Phillip Cobb, Shan Smith, Kenny Monahan, and J.O. Nobles trailed Clem across the finish line in the feature event.

“When you are starting deep in the field, you really never know if you have a good chance of picking up the win, but this car was just awesome from the drop of the green flag so I knew we would be strong,” said Clem. “I want to thank my team, my sponsors, and my fans for their awesome support.”

Dustin Strand Again Claims Two Win Weekend

Grand Forks, North Dakota (08/22/16) – For the second-straight week Dustin Strand stormed to a pair of victories in his RealTruck.com #71 Schill Construction/ Millenium Chassis Late Model.

Behind the wheel of his Q&Z Plumbing and Heating #71 Super Late Model, Dustin Strand returned to Red River Co-op Speedway (Winnipeg, Manitoba) on Thursday for the regular night of racing. In a field of 15 entries, Strand stormed to heat race victory earning him the 7th-starting spot for the feature. Bringing home his 14th win of the year, Dustin cruised to the A-Main victory with Mike Balcaen, Rick Fawcett, Mike Martin, and Kevin Sexton trailing him across the finish line.

On Friday night Dustin headed to River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) to do battle against a field of 31 Super Late Models. Scoring another heat race win, Strand rolled off 6th for the feature event. Working his way into a podium spot, Dustin landed a runner-up finish behind Donny Schatz with Steffen Snare, Brad Seng, and Donald Show rounding out the Top 5.

The following night Strand stopped at Devil Lake Speedway (Lakota, North Dakota) for the Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) sanctioned program. Storming to another heat race win from the 5th-starting position, Dustin earned the 3rd-starting spot for the A-Main. Charging to his second win of the weekend, Dustin Strand topped Bill Mooney, Mike Balcaen, Lance Matthees, and Brad Seng in the feature brining his overall win tally on the season to 15. Strand collected a $1,100 payday for his NLRA victory.

The upcoming weekend will open on Thursday evening at Red River Co-op Speedway before shifting to River Cities Speedway on Friday evening for a Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) event.
