Tyler Clem Hard Charges in USCS Sprint Cars; Launches New Website

St. Petersburg, Florida (10/20/15) – 13-year-old, Tyler Clem enjoyed a strong weekend in the cockpit of his Vahlco Wheels #14 J&J Chassis Sprint Car at Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida) during the inaugural Florida State Championships

Action opened on Friday evening at the 3/8 mile oval, where twenty-four competitors registered for action in the event, which was sanctioned by the United Sprint Car Series (USCS). The night started with Tyler battling handling issues in his heat race. As a result he had to start 23rd on the grid for the finale. Despite starting deep in the field he patiently worked his way through the field to an 11th place finish.

Saturday night found Clem looking for an even better outing in the weekend finale. Preliminary action awarded Tyler with the 16th starting spot for the main event. Just like a night earlier, the 13-year-old masterfully worked his way through the field before registering a 3rd place finish behind race winner, Trey Starks, and Michael Miller.

“We had a really good car in the feature both nights, but struggles in heat race action just left us starting too far back,” said the personable Clem. “I learned a lot though and look forward to the next time I get to hit the track in the Sprint Car.”

Full results from the weekend are available at www.USCSRacing.com .

Next on tap for the team is a trip to Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida) this weekend, October 23rd-24th. The festivities will be highlighted by a pair of $1,000-to-win, Late Model features at the ½ mile oval. For more information on the events, please visit www.VSPDirtLife.com .
