13-Year-Old, Tyler Clem Tops All-Tech Raceway Action

St. Petersburg, Florida (10/13/15) – 13-year-old, Tyler Clem dominated the Limited Late Model action at All-Tech Raceway on Saturday evening in his Vahlco Wheels #14 Rocket Super Late Model to claim his second victory of the season.

Tyler enjoyed a great outing at the recently-reopened, ½ mile oval on Saturday evening. His night started by winning his heat race from the 3rd starting spot. Via his heat performance he earned the pole position for the Limited Late Model finale. At the drop of the green flag Tyler jumped to the lead and proceeded to drive away from the field on his way to the convincing victory. Nevin Gainey, Derek Crawford, Shawn Smith, and Henry Burnside completed the top five finishers.

“Our car was awesome from the time that we unloaded,” Tyler commented. “I want to thank my sponsors, crew, and fans for their great support.”

On Friday night Tyler recorded a 3rd place finish in the $3,000-to-win, United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series (UDLMCS) event at Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida). Clem chased Kyle Bronson and Jake Perkins across the finish line, while Phillip Cobb and Keith Nosbisch completed the top five finishers.

Tyler will shift gears this coming weekend, October 16th-17th as he returns to the driver’s seat of his #14 J&J Sprint Car for the Florida State Championship. Rodney Sanders Rumbles to Red River Checkers; Lakeside Next

Happy, Texas (10/13/15) – Rodney Sanders pushed his 2015 win tally to 24 over the weekend with a triumph at Red River Speedway in his Swan Energy #20 MB Customs/Geddes Racing Engine Open Wheel Modified.

Rodney Sanders made the trip to Red River Speedway (Wichita Falls, Texas) on Saturday night, competing in both his Open Wheel Modified and Southern Sport Modified. Starting in 12th for the $2,000-to-win, Sport Modified feature, Sanders gained ten spots, scoring a solid 2nd place finish behind Nick Clinkenbeard with Trevor Foley, Brandon Decker, and David Bolf rounding out the top five.

With the pole positon starting spot for the A-Main in his Open Wheel Modified, Rodney streaked to his 24th win of the season with Tommy Fain, C.A. Nix, Stanley Reed Jr. and Chad Howell completing the top five. The victory was worth $3,000.

“The only thing better than getting to race in my home state is getting to win in my home state,” laughed Rodney. “All jokes aside it was a really fun weekend, and it felt great to get another win.”
