Top Five Finish For Moyer Jr.; Arkansas Double Header On Tap

Batesville, Arkansas (4/29/08) – Billy Moyer Jr. from Batesville, Arkansas was in action on Saturday behind the wheel of his #21jr Victory Circle M1 Chassis by Moyer Super Late Model at Monticello Speedway in Monticello, Arkansas.

Billy drew a big pill, which pinned him with a back of the pack starting position for his heat race. He finished 3rd in his heat, which gave him an 8th starting position for the feature event. Billy was able to advance to only a 5th place finish in the feature on a greasy track that allowed for little passing.

“It was just a tough night for us because we had a good car, but it was really tough to pass, but at least we did get to test some new stuff and learned more about the car,” commented Moyer Jr.

This weekend Billy will return to familiar territory as he competes in a pair of O’Reilly MSRA Super Late Model events in his home state of Arkansas.  The weekend gets underway on Friday, May 2nd at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas with a $2,000 to win/$300 to start, 40 lap event.  BMS is Billy’s home track, and he hopes to use his experience there to pick up the first win of 2008.

On Saturday night, the action shifts to Poinsett County Raceway in Harrisburg, Arkansas as the O’Reilly MSRA sanctions a $2,000 to win/$400 to start event.  For more information on these two shows, please visit www.MSRADirt.com .

Last weekend, the team made the long trek to Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama for a pair of events.  On Friday night, Kyle was in action in a $2,000 to win event. Via time trials he locked into the 11th starting position in the main event with 51 cars taking time. He still managed to record an 11th place finish against a stout field of competitors.

This weekend Beard Motorsports will finally get to race again in their home state as they enter two events with the O’Reilly MSRA Super Late Model tour.  On Friday night the weekend gets underway with a $2,000 to win/$300 to start, 40 lap Super Late Model event at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas.

On Saturday night, the action shifts to Poinsett County Raceway in Harrisburg, Arkansas for a $2,000 to win/$400 to start, 40 lap event.  Kyle last raced at Poinsett County Raceway in September of 2007, when he picked up the $5,000 prize in the O’Reilly MSRA MidSouth Dirt Track Championship.  For more information on both of these events, please visit www.MSRADirt.com .

Bradford, OH - "The Sniper" Wayne Chinn and Chinn Motorsports prepared for a north east swing this past weekend with three scheduled events to take place, two in Pennsylvania and one in Maryland. Mother Nature won on Friday and Saturday at Bedford (PA) Speedway and Hagerstown (MD) Speedway for the Lucas Oil Late Model Series events. On Sunday evening the sky cleared up, allowing Challenger (PA) Raceway to get the newly formed UFO series event in as scheduled.

Wayne would pill draw a sixth place starting position in heat number four. At the drop of the green flag "The Sniper" made it three wide in to turns one and two as he went from sixth to third using the high side of the race track. He would move in to second position with three laps to go, as leader Mike Knight pulled off the track with a flat tire. Wayne held the second position for final three laps and transferred in to the 50 lap feature.

A complete redraw would work in the favor of Chinn Motorsports as Wayne drew a "four" as his starting position for the inaugural UFO series event. While racing hard with Josh Richards for the third position, just past the half way point, a flat left rear tire would slow the number 1 Rayburn and send it in to the pits for service.

After returning to the field "The Sniper" would restart in the eighteenth position with only twenty laps remaining. Wayne used the top and bottom of the track to start moving forward, at times making it three wide. With a handful of laps remaining the Erwin Chrysler Dodge Jeep / Sugar Creek Packing / 1 Shot Graphics / AWP of Ohio / Dargie Powered / Rayburn Race Car moved in to the top ten as he worked his way around Bob Close. On the final circuit around the track Wayne worked the bottom of the race track to get under Steve Franics, coming off turn four to take the checkers. "The Sniper" cleared Francis and crossed the finish line in the ninth position. For more results from the nights racing events, check out www.challengerraceway.com and www.uforacechampionship.com.

This coming weekend Chinn Motorsports will head to Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway for the 3rd Annual "99 Extravaganza" with two separate feature events on Friday and Saturday night, both sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Series and both paying $9,999 to win. Tyler Propps to Compete With NCRA Modifieds in 2008

David Smith, Jr.
(405) 740-4769
oklahomatidbits@aol.com

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Edmond, Oklahoma - April 28, 2008 - Propps racing out of Edmond, Oklahoma is proud to announce that Tyler Propps will compete full-time with the O'Reilly National Championship Racing Association presented by ICM/Ethanol modified division with hopes of earning that series rookie of the year honors.

The twenty-one year old has been racing since the age of fifteen. Tyler started in the modified division back in 2002, with his first race coming at the three-eighths mile oval of Enid Speedway in Enid, Oklahoma. His first full season at his home track (State Fair Speedway) in Oklahoma City came in 2003 where he finished eighth in final points aboard at 1991shop built car.

Tyler's father, J.D. is no stranger to local racing as he has been a car owner since 1988 when he teamed up with the late Matt Davis. He has owned three pro stocks, three factory stocks, four modifieds, one kid sprint, one mini late model and one, eleven-second drag car in the 80's. Among his former drivers include Billy South, Bobby Smith, Shawn Jorski, Jay Sale, Sammy Potter while he has sponsored cars driven by Joe Wood, Jr., Goob Lawson, Mike Jorski, Bert Woodring and Charles Holley, Jr. While he had made many pleasant memories with the above mentioned drivers, nothing gives him more satisfaction than being the car owner for Tyler. All this with FORD power.
After purchasing a TRE by Bone chassis from Johnny (Baby Bone), Jr. back in October of last year, the Propps are looking for a strong, yet learning experience this year with the NCRA modifieds.
"We're looking forward to all the races that we will compete in with the exception of Belleville," said JD. "Belleville is a high speed track that requires a strong motor and speeds around 150 mph. or better. We do want to run for points and measure ourselves against some strong competition but without losing site as this being for fun. With our past finishes at TMS (15th in the "A") and making the show at Paris (Tx) and Pocola (OK), we thinks we could make some of these shows. The local success we've had here recently {top 5 or better last 3 weeks} helped us make our choice to run NCRA and want to see what we really have for tough local competition."
Along with TRE by Bone chassis, the Propps racing team would like to thank and continue to welcome the following sponsors that make this father/son team possible: JD's Bobcat Service, Bobcat of Oklahoma and Butler Brothers Trucking.
If you would like to climb aboard as marketing partner for the Propps racing team, contact JD by email bobcatjd@aol.com or call him direct (405) 417-7079. To learn more about Tyler or to keep up with his racing exploits during the 2008 race season, log on to his website www.racesitehosting.com/Tyler Propps.
