Brad Williams picks up first career win with CDM Super Late Model Series Presented by Indy Screen Print

Brighton, CO (April, 21st, 2013) On Saturday, April 20th at Tucson International Raceway we saw some of the best weather that any race track in the country has seen all year with temps in the upper 80's. We also saw some of the best super late model racing all season as Brad Williams of Tucson, Arizona was able to hold the lead from start to finish and pick up his first career win with the CDM Super Late Model Series Presented by Indy Screen Print.

It looked like the race was going to go caution free, but on lap 16 the races only caution came out for Jonathon Ortega who spun in turn three. This was just what the race needed to get interesting and set up a 10 lap shout out with Lonnie Parker and RC Whitwell restarting on William's back bumper. Parker and Whitwell would both put tons of pressure on William's for the lead, but he never made a mistake and held on for the win. Lonnie Parker would hold on to second and finish the last lap of the race with a  broken left front suspension after hitting an infield tire trying to make a pass on Williams for the lead. 11th starting Garrett Alberson was able to get around RC Whitwell for 3rd win 8 laps to go and almost got around Parker with one lap to go but would settle for his best series finish of the season. Series points leader RC Whitwell had to start last after a heat race crash and was able to work his way up to 2nd, but ended up falling back and finishing 4th. 3rd starting John Cornell rounded out the top 5.
