CCSDS Announces Bad Boy 98 Provisional Criteria

Beebe, Arkansas (04/06/16) – With the opening weekend for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil in the rearview mirror, the tour now looks ahead to next weekend’s Bad Boy 98 at Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas).

The $20,000-to-win event, which will be held April 15-16, is co-sanctioned with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS). The CCSDS competitors will get a pair of provisionals in the 98-lap finale, and the criteria has been established for the drivers, who will receive the two spots.

The top series member from the 2015 standings, who also entered both of last weekend’s events and doesn’t qualify for the Bad Boy 98 finale, will receive a provisional starting spot. In addition, the series member with the fastest qualifying time on Friday, who entered both of last weekend’s events and doesn’t qualify for the feature, will receive a provisional.

“We talked with teams and came up with a combination of provisionals that we felt would be the most fair to our drivers,” said series’ director, Chris Ellis. We had more than twenty drivers purchase series memberships last weekend, and we want them all to have a fair shake at starting the feature.”

The opening weekend for the 2016 campaign for the CCSDS saw an average of 35 cars entered into action with Austin Rettig and Jack Sullivan each snaring victories.
