COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Unveils 2016 Slate

Beebe, Arkansas (11/30/15) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil has unveiled the initial edition of their 2016 schedule.

The impressive slate makes its debut with twenty-two dates at thirteen facilities in six states. The lid will be lifted on the ninth season for the southeastern tour on April 1 at Timberline Speedway (Corley, Texas) before sliding up the interstate to I-30 Speedway on Little Rock (Arkansas) on Saturday, April 2.

The tour will co-sanction the annual Bad Boy 98 at Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas) with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on April 15-16, where a $20,000 top prize will be up for grabs. The spring special will mark the first of two co-sanctions with the LOLMDS in 2016 as the CCSDS racers will again join the national tour in co-sanctioning the 24th Annual COMP Cams Topless 100 on August 19-20.

The 6th Annual Rockabilly 45 will be held August 5-6 at I-30 Speedway. The doubleheader includes a $2,000-to-win event on Friday evening, while Saturday night’s victor will be rewarded with a $4,000 check.

The Fourth of July weekend will take the CCSDS to the Magnolia State on July 1-3. The tripleheader includes a first-time trip to Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) book-ended with events at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) and Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi).

Another tripleheader will bring the year to a close with the 2nd Annual Triple Crown being held September 2-4 with events at Crowley’s Ridge Raceway (Paragould, Arkansas), Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas), and Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi).

“We couldn’t be any more pleased with our 2016 schedule,” commented CCSDS CEO, Chris Ellis. “While there is a potential to add one or two more races, what we have in place now offers our fans and racers a solid slate of regional competition.”

Ellis concludes by noting, “I want to say a huge thanks to our racers, fans, tracks, and sponsors, who make our series possible. Without any of them we couldn’t do this.”
