FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Greenville, Mississippi (10/04/16) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil will pull down the curtain on the 2016 campaign this weekend, but not before putting an exclamation point on the season with the 3rd annual Lucas Oil Fall Nationals. Heading into the series’ first-ever appearance at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Missouri), Hunter Rasdon from Jonesboro, Arkansas leads the points and is focused on claiming his first-ever CCSDS title. Rasdon is 34 points ahead of two-time CCSDS champion, Kyle Beard, while defending CCSDS champion, Jack Sullivan is just 37 markers out of the top spot. All three drivers are mathematically still alive in their bid for the title. Jonathan Rowan, Austin Theiss, Chandler Petty, Mason Oberkramer, David Payne, Clay Fisher, and Brandon Wilson round out the current Top 10 in the standings. Jonathan Rowan holds a commanding advantage atop the Kuntz & Co. Rookie of the Year standings with Austin Theiss and Mason Oberkramer sitting in second and third, respectively. This weekend will find the CCSDS competitors clashing with the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) racers. Jesse Stovall leads the MLRA standings and will be joined in battle by a talented field of series racers that includes Terry Phillips, Tad Pospisil, Dave Eckrich, Tony Jackson Jr., and more. The weekend at the state-of-the-art Lucas Oil Speedway gets underway with an open practice session on Thursday night from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Grandstand admission is free. On Friday, October 6 action kicks into high gear with a $3,000-to-win program, while Saturday, will play host to a $5,000-to-win event.
