COMP Cams Super Dirt Series '14 Finale at I-30 Speedway this Saturday

Beebe, Arkansas (09/23/14) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil will put a wrap on the 2014 campaign this Saturday, September 27th with a trip to Tracey Clay's I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) for the 8th Annual Midsouth Dirt Track Championship.

Heading into the 2014 series finale Kyle Beard only needs to take the green flag in the feature event to clinch his second consecutive championship. Tommy Surrett, Clay Fisher, Brandon Smith, Rick Hearnsberger, Shannon Scott, David Payne, Kody Mea, Lynn Beach, and Jack Sullivan round out the current top ten in series standings.

While the overall championship is no longer in question the Kuntz & Co. Rookie of the Year battle is far from determined. With just one event remaining Shannon Scott and Rick Hearnsberger are still deadlocked atop the point battle with Kody Mea and David Payne in pursuit.

The 8th Annual Midsouth Dirt Track Championship will be held at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) this Saturday, September 27th. In 2013 the event was held at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas), where Brandon Smith claimed his first win in the race. This Saturday's program will be headlined by a $2,500-to-win/$400-to-start finale. Also as part of the huge night of racing will be the annual Ralph Henson Memorial, which posts a $2,000 top prize for Sprint Cars. In addition IMCA Modifieds and Super Stocks will be on the evening's card. Advanced grandstand tickets may be purchased for $20 at the Pit Road Bar & Grill, which is located in the track parking lot, or at the track office. Grandstand tickets the day of the show are $25 with children (ages 6-12) $1 when accompanied by an adult, and ages 5 & under free. Pit admission is $30.
