Tyler Erb Tops COMP Cams Super Dirt Series at Greenville

Greenville, Mississippi (09/06/15) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil concluded the weekend’s Triple Crown with a trip to Greenville Speedway, where Texas’ racer, Tyler Erb wired the field for the $3,000 payday.

Twenty-one entries converged on the ¼ mile oval, and a top-to-bottom, racy surface greeted the competitors. New Waverly, Texas driver, Tyler Erb earned the New Vision Graphics Pole Award for the feature and was accompanied on the front row by series’ point leader, Jack Sullivan for the 35 lap affair.

Erb maintained control of the lead throughout the event, which was slowed only twice by caution flags. Sullivan kept tabs on the leader, but was unable to make a serious challenge as Erb raced to his second CCSDS victory of the season. Sullivan, Beard, Allen Tippen, and Clay Fisher completed the top five finishers.

Tyler Erb won GRT Race Cars Heat Race #1 with Jack Sullivan winning Allen Manufacturing Heat Race #2. Clay Fisher raced to victory in M&M Painting Heat Race #3.

The Larry Shaw Race Cars Hard Charger Award went to Shane Hebert, while David Payne was the recipient of the Wilwood Tough Break of the Race Award after motor issues hampered him in heat race action.

Next on tap for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) is a trip to Oklahoma for a pair of big events on September 11th-12th. On Friday, September 11th the tour rolls into Outlaw Motor Speedway (Muskogee, Oklahoma) for a $2,500-to-win program before going into battle with the MARS Super Late Models on Saturday, September 12th at Tri State Speedway (Pocola, Oklahoma) in a co-sanctioned, $3,000-to win event.
