FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Greenville, Mississippi (09/04/16) – Hunter Rasdon padded his advantage atop the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil by bagging a thrilling $2,500 victory at Greenville Speedway on Sunday evening. Rasdon only led three circuits at the ¼-mile oval, but it was the most important laps of the race. The Jonesboro, Arkansas racer overtook New Vision Graphics pole sitter, and race-long leader, B.J. Robinson on lap 33 and went on to score the victory. The win is his fifth of the season on the tour. Oil pump issues while leading his heat, forced Jack Sullivan to utilize a provisional to start the finale in the 17th-starting spot. Despite starting deep in the field Sullivan raced through the field to round out the podium finishers. Clay Fisher and Ray Moore completed the Top 5. Black Diamond Race Cars Heat Race #1 was won by B.J. Robinson with Allen Manufacturing Heat Race #2 being claimed by Hunter Rasdon. M&M Paint & Construction Heat Race #3 was won by Chandler Petty, while Jonathan Rowan won ROCKHARD Powder Coating Heat Race #4. Dean Carpenter scored the win in the Mark Martin Powersports B-Main. The Henryetta Ford Hard Luck Award went to David Payne after damage from early in the night forced him to start and park in the main event. Jack Sullivan received the Larry Shaw Race Cars Hard Charger Award for advancing fourteen spots to finish 3rd. The CCSDS competitors will take a one-month break before completing their season on October 7-8 with their first-ever trip to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Missouri) to compete in the 3rd annual Lucas Oil MLRA Fall Nationals. The event will be co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) and will be headlined by a $3,000-to-win event on Friday and a $5,000-to-win event on Saturday.
