COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Invades NEA Speedway this Saturday

Beebe, Arkansas (09/03/13) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Model competitors are now in the home stretch of the 2013 season, and this Saturday, September 7th they will invade Northeast Arkansas Speedway (Harrisburg, Arkansas) for the third round of the Stallion Transportation Group Summer Series, which will post a $2,500 winner’s check.

With just three events remaining in the season Kyle Beard from Trumann, Arkansas holds a commanding advantage in the points with a 163 marker lead as he seeks his first career CCSDS title.  Rounding out the current standings are Chandler Petty, Ashley Newman, Clay Fisher, Tommy Surrett, Ross Camponovo, Keith Craft, Lynn Beach, Jon Kirby, Brandon Smith, Joseph Long, Kody Mea, and Kenneth Jackson.

In addition to the series drivers a strong contingent of regional and local drivers are expected to try and steal the increased payout, and will be led by 2009 CCSDS Champion and current Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Rookie of the Year point’s leader, Billy Moyer Jr.

This Saturday’s event at Northeast Arkansas Speedway (Harrisburg, Arkansas) will include heat races and b-mains as well as a $2,500-to-win/$400-to-start, 35 lap finale.  In four CCSDS events at the ¼ mile oval this season Billy Moyer Jr. and Jack Sullivan have claimed single wins, while Tony Jackson Jr. has wrangled a pair of triumphs.  The program will serve as the final event of the 2013 campaign for the facility, and will also include Open Wheel Modifieds, Street Stocks, E-Mods, Factory Stocks, and Bone Stocks all in action.  Gates open at 3pm with the driver’s meeting at 6:45pm with hot laps to follow.  Ticket prices for the event are $15 for adults and $10 for students (ages 13-to-18) with children (age 12-and-under) $5.  Pit passes are $30 for adults, $15 for students (ages 13-to-18), and children (ages 5-and under) are free.  For more information on the event, please visit www.NEASpeedway.com.
