Labor Day Weekend Triple Shot for COMP Cams Super Dirt Series

Beebe, Arkansas (08/31/15) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil rumbles forward this Labor Day weekend with trifecta of events in Arkansas and Mississippi.

With just six events remaining on the 2015 docket Greenbrier, Arkansas’ driver, Jack Sullivan continues to lead the CCSDS standings as he chases his first-career title with the series. Two-time and defending champion, Kyle Beard resides in second. Shannon Scott, Gavin Landers, Chandler Petty, Tommy Surrett, B.J. Robinson, David Payne, Clay Fisher, and Hunter Rasdon complete the current top ten in the standings.

Gavin Landers maintains a narrow advantage over Hunter Rasdon in the Kuntz & Co. Rookie of the Year point battle.

This weekend, September 4th-6th, will be a pivotal weekend for the tour as they contest a trio of point events. Each night will be headlined by a $3,000-to-win/$300-to-start, 35 lap finale.

Action opens on Friday night, September 4th at Crowley’s Ridge Raceway (Paragould, Arkansas) with the Labor Day Classic, where the tour will sanction its second event of 2015. Wendell Wallace snared the win in the first event at the facility in late July. MSCA Winged Sprint Cars and Modifieds will be in action as well. On Saturday, September 5th the series returns to Mooney Starr’s Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas) for the second time in 2015 for the Ozark Nationals. Shannon Babb took his first series’ win during the 23rd Annual COMP Cams Topless 100 in mid-August. Hobby Stocks ($1,250-To-Win), Street Stocks ($500-To-Win), and Factory Stocks ($150-To-Win) will also be part of the program. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with hot laps at 7:30 p.m. and racing action at 8:00 p.m. General admission is $15 with ages 14-and-under free. The weekend draws to a close on Sunday, September 6th at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) as the CCSDS competitors invade the ¼ mile oval for the third time in 2015. Bub McCool and Hunter Rasdon have taken honors in the first two events. The $1,500-to-win, Buddy Roncali Memorial accompanies the program for the Street Stocks. Also in action will be NeSmith Crate Late Models, Modifieds, and Pure Stocks.
