22nd Annual COMP Cams Topless 100 this Weekend for CCSDS

Beebe, Arkansas (08/12/14) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil is preparing for the biggest event in series history this weekend, August 14th-16th, as they will co-sanction the 22nd Annual COMP Cams Topless 100 presented by Crop Production Services with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS).

The huge weekend of racing at Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas) will be headlined by a $40,000-to-win and $2,000-to-start finale on Saturday night. An open practice is slated for Thursday evening with time trials and heat race action on Friday night. Saturday's program will include last chance races and the 100 lap finale at the 3/8 mile oval.

"This is an incredibly exciting time for our series," notes CCSDS CEO, Chris Ellis. "Being able to be a part of a crown jewel is huge for our series, and the chance to support one that has been sponsored by our title sponsor, COMP Cams, for so many years is just the icing on the cake." He concludes by saying, "Our staff and drivers are really looking forward to a great weekend."

Defending CCSDS Champion, Kyle Beard, leads the series standings heading into the event with Tommy Surrett, Clay Fisher, Brandon Smith, Rick Hearnsberger, Shannon Scott, David Payne, Kody Mea, Lynn Beach, and Jack Sullivan rounding out the current top ten.

The Kuntz & Co. Rookie of the Year battle is a great one with Shannon Scott and Rick Hearnsberger deadlocked atop the standings with Kody Mea and David Payne rounding out the standings.

Grandstands open on Friday and Saturday at 4 p.m. Thursday is an open practice and grandstands will be open to public.

Pit Gate will open each day at 3 p.m. Pit passes are $20 on Thursday and $35 on Friday and Saturday.

Grandstand general admission tickets for Friday are $20 and $25 for Saturday. Reserved Seat tickets for stadium or lawn chair seating are $25 on Friday and $30 on Saturday.
