COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Adds Lucas Oil Speedway Events

Beebe, Arkansas (August 9, 2016) - The final event of the 2016 campaign for the Lucas Oil MLRA is getting bigger! The 3rd Annual Fall Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri has added the Beebe, Arkansas based Comp Cams Super Dirt Series Presented by Lucas Oil, in what promises to be a spectacular season finale.

Slated for Friday, October 7, and Saturday, October 8, each night is a standalone show. Friday's event pays $3,000 to win and Saturday's show will put $5,000 in the winner's pocket. The weekend marks the season finale for both tours.

It will mark the first time the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series has raced at Lucas Oil Speedway and the first time the two regional tours have ever teamed on the same event weekend.

"We're really excited to welcome the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series to Lucas Oil Speedway and the Fall Nationals," commented MLRA Assistant Series Director Ernie Leftwich. "It will be neat to see some new competitors here from a competition standpoint, while also adding more value to the tickets purchased by our great race fans.”

Originally formed as the Mid South Racing Association (MSRA), the tour began racing in 2007. Under the guidance and ownership of Chris Ellis, the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series Presented by Lucas Oil is the most popular regional tour in the mid south.

Currently, Jonesboro, Arkansas standout Hunter Rasdon is leading the series standings, with former champion Kyle Beard hot on his heels. Jack Sullivan, Austin Theiss and Jonathan Rowan complete the top five. Some others who regularly run with the tour include; Wendell Wallace, Jon Mitchell, Gavin Landers and Timothy Culp.

"We we're really happy when the opportunity presented itself for our series to race at Wheatland," stated Comp Cams Super Dirt Series Owner Chris Ellis. "As a Lucas Oil affiliated tour, this will be a big couple of night's for us. A few of our racers have run there in other shows, but a lot of them never have. I'm excited for fans to see a few different drivers there too."

The weekend is also known for one of the largest street stock races in the country. The Big Buck 50 is also on the calendar, further making this a can't miss two days worth of excitement. Car counts have pushed above 70 for just the street stocks during the first two editions of this race.
