COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Ready for Timberline Doubleheader

Beebe, Arkansas (08/07/13) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Model competitors will set their sights on a doubleheader at Timberline Speedway (Corley, Texas) this Friday and Saturday, August 9th-10th.

Last weekend the CCSDS racers took part in a pair of events in Arkansas, and it was Billy Moyer Jr. and Jack Sullivan splitting wins, while Kyle Beard extended his point's advantage.

With just five events remaining in the season Beard holds a commanding 149 point lead over Chandler Petty in the standings. Kuntz & Co. Rookie of the Year leader, Ashley Newman, is now third in the latest standings with Clay Fisher, Ross Camponovo, Tommy Surrett, Lynn Beach, Jon Kirby, Brandon Smith, and Keith Craft rounding out the top ten in the standings.

Ashley Newman continues to comfortably reside atop the Kuntz & Co. Rookie of the Year standings over Lynn Beach, Joseph Long, and Jake Davis.

The weekend, August 9th-10th, Timberline Speedway (Corley, Texas) will play host to their second and third events of the CCSDS 2013 campaign with the Summer Series Blow Out. Each night a complete program will be contested that will be capped with $2,000-to-win/$300-to-start features for the CCSDS competitors. Also on the card each night will be Open Wheel Modifieds, Limited Modifieds, Factory Stocks, Super Stocks, and Novice as the local divisions conclude their Summer Point's Series on Friday evening with double points being awarded. A regular show will be held for the local classes on Saturday evening.

On Friday evening music will be provided by the group Relentless from 6pm to 8pm with hot laps at 8pm and racing action at 8:30pm. On Saturday night Lisa from Kicker 102.5 will be at the track doing a live remote and giving out prizes from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Hot laps are at 8pm with racing action at 8:30pm.

Friday night admission is $15 for adults with kids (6-12 years of age) $5 and ages 5 and under free. Saturday night admission is $20 for adults with kids (6-12 years of age) $5 and ages 5 and under free. Pit passes are $30 both nights, and camping is allowed.
