COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Rolls into Diamond Park this Saturday

Beebe, Arkansas (08/07/12) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Model tour will make its second and final appearance of the 2012 season at Diamond Park Speedway (Nashville, Arkansas) this Saturday night.

Last Saturday night the CCSDS was in action at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas), and while Wendell Wallace claimed the win, the event saw point's leader, Jon Mitchell, battle mechanical woes throughout the night. By the time the checkered flag dropped the point's battle was tighter than ever with Mitchell holding just an eight point advantage over Robert Baker and a fourteen point advantage over Brandon Smith and Curtis Cook, who are tied for third. The red-hot point's battle will continue with this Saturday's event. Other drivers, who will be looking to make up ground in the event include Jon Kirby, Keith Lawson, Chandler Petty, Clay Fisher, Kenneth Jackson, Tommy Surrett, Clay Fisher, Billy Moyer Jr., Kyle Beard, and more.

Robert Baker continues to lead the Kuntz & Co. Rookie of the Year standings over Chandler Petty and Kenneth Jackson.

This Saturday, August 11th the CCSDS will sanction a $2,000-to-win event at Diamond Park Speedway (Nashville, Arkansas). The tour held an event at the oval earlier in 2012 that was full of fireworks, which included Clay Fisher crashing through a building off the backstretch, while rookie contender, Robert Baker, scored the upset victory. Also in action on the card will be Factory Stocks, Pure Stocks, Street Stocks, Novice, and Southern Stocks. Gates open at 5pm with racing action slated for 8pm.
