COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Modifies Schedule

Beebe, Arkansas (08/01/13) – In the ever-changing landscape of racing the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) has announced a schedule modification for the August 9th-10th weekend.

The tour will now host a doubleheader at Timberline Speedway (Corley, Texas) on August 9th-10th, which has been tabbed as the Summer Series Double Down. The CCSDS Super Late Model competitors will take part in a complete show each night that will be capped with a $2,000-to-win/$300-to-start, 30 lap finale. For more information, please visit www.TimberlineSpeedway.com .

The schedule change comes on the heels of the cancellation of the program that was originally slated for August 10th at Crawford County Speedway (Van Buren, Arkansas).

This weekend, August 2nd-3rd, will see the tour competing in the state of Arkansas in a pair of events.

On Friday, August 2nd the CCSDS will sanction their first-ever event at North Central Arkansas Speedway (Yellville, Arkansas) with a $2,000-to-win/$300-to-start affair. While the tour has competed at just about every facility in the state of Arkansas at one time or another they have never visited the 3/8 mile, high-banked oval, so anticipation is building for the inaugural event. Gates open at 6pm with racing action at 8pm. For more information on the event please visit www.dsmotorsports-llc.com/ .

From a first-time facility to a track that has been a part of the series since it development the CCSDS will roll into I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) on Saturday night, August 3rd for the second round of the Stallion Transportation Group Summer Series, which will post a $2,500-to-win/$400-to-start purse. The event will mark the second appearance of 2013 for the series at the ¼ mile opener as Timothy Culp claimed the season opener back in April. Gates open at 5pm with racing action scheduled for 7:30pm. Also in action will be IMCA Open Wheel Modifieds, Super Stocks, and 600cc Mini Sprints. Grandstand admission is $20 for adults with kids (6-12 years of age) $1 when accompanied by an adult. Pit passes are $30. For more information on the event, please visit www.I-30Speedway.com .
