Thunder in the Grove Up Next for COMP Cams Super Dirt Series

Beebe, Arkansas (07/25/16) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil will roll into Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas) this Friday night for a $2,000-to-win event.

With 15 rounds of action in the books and just eight remaining in the 2016 campaign, Hunter Rasdon from Jonesboro, Arkansas sits atop the series standings as he pursues his first-career championship with the CCSDS. Two-time series champion Kyle Beard resides in the runner-up position with defending CCSDS champ, Jack Sullivan is currently third. The top trio of drivers are only separated by a mere 47 markers.

Austin Theiss, Jonathan Rowan, Chandler Petty, David Payne, Mason Oberkramer, Brandon Wilson, and Wendell Wallace complete the Top 10 in the current standings.

Austin Theiss holds a 2-point advantage atop the Kuntz & Co. Rookie of the Year standings over Jonathan Rowan. Mason Oberkramer and Brandon Wilson round out the competition.

The program this Friday, July 29 at Batesville Motor Speedway will also serve as a tune-up for the upcoming 24th Annual COMP Cams Topless 100 at the 3/8-mile oval. This Friday’s event will pay $2,000-to-win/$350-to-start. Street Stocks, Hobby Stocks, and Factory Stocks will also be in action.
