Rockabilly 45 at NEA Speedway Canceled for CCSDS

Beebe, Arkansas (07/02/14) – Just a week after announcing the rescheduling of the 4th Annual Rockabilly 45 at Northeast Arkansas Speedway (Harrisburg, Arkansas) for July 12th the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil regrets to announce that the event has been canceled.

"I was notified on Monday by Northeast Arkansas Speedway staff that due to rainouts and other factors that the track was going to have to cancel the Rockabilly 45," said CCSDS CEO, Chris Ellis. "I hate this for the racers and the fans as everyone always enjoys our events at the facility, but this cancellation is unfortunately out of our control."

This weekend the tour heads to Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) for a doubleheader at the 1/4 mile oval. Action opens on Friday, July 4th with a $1,500-to-win/$250-to-start event with a $75 entry fee. On Saturday, July 5th a $2,000-to-win/$300-to-start program will be contested with a $100 entry fee. Hot laps, time trials, heat races, b-mains, and a finale will be part of each night's program. Each feature will be 30 laps. As a further incentive the top two finishers from Friday night's program are guaranteed the ninth and tenth starting spots in Saturday night's feature if they are unable to race their way into the finale via preliminary action.
