COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Returns to Greenville this Saturday

Beebe, Arkansas (07/02/13) – After a three year hiatus the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) will return to Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) this Saturday, July 6th.

In the formative years of the CCSDS Greenville Speedway was a mainstay on the tour, but logistical reasons have kept the 1/4 mile oval absent from the schedule over the past few seasons.  That will all change this Saturday, July 6th with a $2,000-to-win/$400-to-start event atop the gumbo.

On the heels of his first two career wins with the CCSDS, Ross Camponovo from Clarksdale, Mississippi will head to his home track this Saturday with the series point lead.  He is pursued closely by Kyle Beard, Robert Baker, Clay Fisher, Chandler Petty, Ashley Newman, Tommy Surrett, Keith Craft, Jon Mitchell, Lynn Beach, Brandon Smith, Jon Kirby, and a host of others.

Ashley Newman continues to inch away from the competition in the the Kuntz & Co. Rookie of the Year battle, which he leads over Lynn Beach, Jake Davis, and Joseph Long.

This Saturday, July 6th the $2,000-to-win/$400-to-start program will consist of time trials, heat races, b-mains and a 35 lap finale.  Also in action will be NeSmith Weekly Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Super Street, Stingers, and Mini Stocks. Driver's meeting is at 6:50pm with hot laps at 7:00pm and racing action to follow.  For more information on the event, please visit www.GreenvilleSpeedway.net .
