COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Heads to Tennessee and Arkansas

Beebe, Arkansas (06/18/13) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) will invade new territory on Friday night, June 21st as it sanctions its first ever event in the state of Tennessee with a trip to Camden Speedway before returning to familiar territory on Saturday evening, June 22nd at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas.

Trumann, Arkansas competitor, Kyle Beard, leads the tour into the weekend's events with a ten point lead over Ross Camponovo from Clarksdale, Mississippi. Robert Baker, Chandler Petty, Clay Fisher, Ashley Newman, Tommy Surrett, Brandon Smith, Keith Craft are among the competitors, who are in pursuit of the top two drivers in points.

Newman continues to lead the Kuntz & Co. Rookie of the Year battle over Lynn Beach, Jake Davis, Joseph Long, and Drew Armstrong.

A host of regional and local drivers will be looking to upset the series travelers this weekend including Terry English, Tanner English, Dane Dacus, Todd Hall, Allen Murray, Jamie Dacus, Thomas Dacus, Mike Carr, TJ Hughes, Nathan Brown, and more.

On Friday, June 21st the tour will not only sanction their first-ever event at Camden Speedway (Camden, Tennessee), but also their first-ever race in the state of Tennessee as a $2,000-to-win/$300-to-start program will be contested. A full program of heat races, b-mains, and a 35 lap feature will be held. The UMP Pro Crate Late Model Speedweek and E-Mod classes will also be a part of the program. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults with seniors (65 & older) $5, while kids (12 years-of-age & younger) free as well as military with identification. Pit passes are $30 for adults with kids (ages 6-12 years-of-age) $10 with ages 6 & under free. The pit gate opens at 4pm with the grandstand gate opening at 6pm. On Saturday, June 22nd the action moves to Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) for a $2,000-to-win/$400-to-start affair at the legendary, 1/4 mile oval. Time trials will determine heat race line ups. B-Mains and a 35 lap feature will round out the program. Also in action will be 305 Wingless Sprint Cars, Street Stocks, 600cc Mini Sprints, and Open Wheel Modifieds. Gates open at 5pm with driver's meeting at 6:30pm, hot laps at 7pm, and racing action at 7:30pm. Adult grandstand admission is $20 and pit passes are $30.
