COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Expands Greenville Speedway Weekend

Beebe, Arkansas (06/16/14) – Officials with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil and Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) are proud to announce that they have expanded the upcoming holiday weekend invasion by the tour at the 1/4 mile to two shows on July 4th-5th.

"After talking with James (Clolinger) and Wesley (Washington) at Greenville Speedway we all agreed that it would make for a really nice weekend for both the drivers and fans to have a pair of complete shows instead of just the originally scheduled, single event," said CCSDS CEO Chris Ellis.  "We couldn't be more excited about these shows."

The weekend opens on Friday, July 4th with a $1,500-to-win/$250-to-start event with a $75 entry fee.  On Saturday, July 5th a $2,000-to-win/$300-to-start program will be contested with a $100 entry fee.  Each feature will be 30 laps.  As a further incentive the top two finishers from Friday night's program are guaranteed the ninth and tenth starting spots in Saturday night's feature if they are unable to race their way into the finale via preliminary action.

On Friday night NeSmith Crate Late Models and Street Stocks will also be a part of the program, while Saturday night will see Nesmith Crate Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Pure Streets, Street stocks as part of the program.

For this event only the series will also allow the Hoosier 1350 tires on all four corners of competitor's entries for the first time ever in an effort to make it feasible for more drivers to participate in the show, who don't normally race with the tour.
