Tony Jackson Jr. Takes Outlaw Cash with CCSDS

Oktaha, Oklahoma (06/10/16) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil and the Mid America Racing Series (MARS) locked horns on Friday night at Outlaw Motor Speedway, where Tony Jackson Jr. claimed the $3,000 victory.

Jackson Jr. was the New Vision Graphics Pole Sitter for the 35-lap affair. Jackson jumped to the lead at the drop of the green flag. He led the first sixteen circuits before the persistence of 2nd-starting Randy Timms propelled him to the lead on lap-17.

Timms paced the field for three laps around the 3/8-mile oval before Jackson Jr. shot back to the top spot on lap-20. From that point the Lebanon, Missouri racer paced the field for the final fifteen laps.

The win made Jackson Jr. the seventh different winner on the CCDS tour in 2016, and marked the fourth of his career with the tour.

Jason Hughes, Jack Sullivan, and Kyle Beard completed the Top-5.

Black Diamond Race Cars Heat Race #1 was won by Jesse Stovall with Allen Manufacturing Heat Race #2 being claimed by Tony Jackson Jr. M&M Paint & Construction Heat Race #3 was won by Hunter Rasdon, while Jack Sullivan won ROCKHARD Powder Coating Heat Race #4. Racing Head Service Heat Race #5 was topped by Randy Timms.

Mark Martin Powersports B-Main #1 was topped by Justin Asplin with Chandler Petty winning Arctic Cat B-Main #2.

The Larry Shaw Race Cars Hard Charger Award went to Jon Mitchell for advancing from 19th to 12th. Shannon Scott received the Henryetta Ford Hard Luck Award after mechanical issues ended his featuring outing early.

Saturday, June 11 will see the action shift to Tri State Speedway (Pocola, Oklahoma) for another $3,000-to-win/$400-to-start challenge race. Jeremy Payne was the victor with the CCSDS at the clay oval in 2015. IMCA Modifieds and USRA Modifieds will also be in action. The pit gate opens at 4:00 p.m. with the grandstands opening at 5:00 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. with racing action to follow.
