COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Rockabilly this Weekend

Beebe, Arkansas (06/03/14) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil is prepared to set the summer on fire as the tour resumes action this weekend, June 6th-7th, with its signature event, the 4th Annual Rockabilly at Northeast Arkansas Speedway (Harrisburg, Arkansas).

The CCSDS competitors enjoyed a break over the past two weeks, but now it's time to go back to war. In the first nine events of 2014 there have been eight different winners with only one repeat winner, Billy Moyer Jr. Meanwhile defending series champion, Kyle Beard, continues to lead the standings with Clay Fisher, Tommy Surrett, Brandon Smith, Shannon Scott, Rick Hearnsberger, Kody Mea, Lyn Beach, David Payne, and Jack Sullivan rounding out the current top ten.

Breakout rookie, Shannon Scott from Henryetta, Oklahoma, holds the top spot in the Kuntz & Co. Rookie of the Year standings with Rick Hearnsberger, Kody Mea, and David Payne rounding out the current points.

In 2013 Lebanon, Missouri's Tony Jackson Jr. swept the program and will look to do so again in 2014. He will be joined by a talented field of regional drivers, who will look to put their own names into the Rockabilly history book.

The tour now turns its attention to Northeast Arkansas Speedway (Harrisburg, Arkansas) for the 4th Annual Rockabilly on June 6th and 7th. On Friday, June 6th the 3rd Annual Rockabilly 33 will be contested, which will pay $1,500-to-win and $200-to-start. The top four finishers in the feature will lock into the Allen Manufacturing Dash on Saturday evening, which will determine the starting order for the front two rows in Saturday night's finale. Josh Massey with Allen Manufacturing is graciously sponsoring a $600 purse for the pole sitter's dash with the winner getting $250, second place receiving $150, while third and fourth each get $100.

On Saturday, June 7th the 4th Annual Rockabilly 45 will headline the program. Except for the four cars locked into the feature from Friday's program, the balance of the field will again contest a complete program will be capped by a $3,000-to-win/$300-to-start finale. As an added incentive if a driver can win the feature both nights plus the Allen Manufacturing Dash then that driver will receive a $500 bonus to push his weekend winnings over $5,000.

Ticket prices for each night will be $20 for adults, $10 for students 6-18, and free for children 5 and under. Pit passes for each night will be $30 for adults, $15 for children 6-12, and free for children 5 and under. The gates will open at 4:00 with heats starting at 7:30 both nights.
