COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Weekend Events Postponed

Beebe, Arkansas (06/02/16) – A pesky Mother Nature has forced the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil to postpone the events scheduled for this weekend, June 3-4.

“This weekend’s weather forecast has gotten worse as the week’s gone along, and this accompanied by the rain that has already fallen this week has left us no choice, but to postpone both events,” said CCSDS CEO, Chris Ellis. “We didn’t want to waste the time or money of racers and fans, so we made the decision with the tracks to go ahead and pull the plug.”

Crowley’s Ridge Raceway will now see its event moved to next Thursday, June 9th. Series and track officials are evaluating possible reschedule dates for the Camden Speedway event.

Next weekend, June 9-11 will now feature a tripleheader for the CCSDS competitors.

Action opens next weekend on Thursday, June 9 at Crowley’s Ridge Raceway (Paragould, Arkansas). The $2,000-to-win/$350-to-start affair at the racy, ¼-mle bullring has become a fan and racer favorite on the schedule. Wendell Wallace and Billy Moyer Jr. split wins at the oval in 2015. 305 Winged Sprints, Modifieds and Factory Stocks will also be on the evening’s card. On Friday, June 10 the CCSDS competitors will go into battle against the MARS Super Late Models in a $3,000-to-win/$400-to-start event at Outlaw Motor Speedway (Oktaha, Oklahoma). Tony Jackson Jr. scored the CCSDS win in 2015 at the facility. Grand Nationals, I-Stocks, and Pure Stocks will also be part of the show. Gates open at 4:00 p.m. with racing action at 7:30 p.m. For more information on the event, please visit www.OutlawMotorSpeedway.net .

Saturday, June 11 will see the action shift to Tri State Speedway (Pocola, Oklahoma) for another $3,000-to-win/$400-to-start challenge race. Jeremy Payne was the victor with the CCSDS at the clay oval in 2015. IMCA Modifieds and USRA Modifieds will also be in action. The pit gate opens at 4:00 p.m. with the grandstands opening at 5:00 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. with racing action to follow.
