COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Returns to Action this Weekend

Beebe, Arkansas (06/01/16) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil will kick things back into gear this weekend, June 3-4 with a pair of events in Arkansas and Tennessee.

After a three-week break in the action the CCSDS competitors are eager to resume their pursuit of the tour’s 10th-anniversary crown.

Sikeston, Missouri’s Austin Rettig leads the way in the latest standings by just two markers over Hunter Rasdon, who is the only repeat winner on the tour in 2016. Kyle Beard, Jack Sullivan, Jon Mitchell, Chandler Petty, Austin Theiss, Garrett Alberson, Timothy Culp, and Jonathan Rowan complete the current, Top-10 in the standings.

Hockley, Texas-racer, Austin Theiss continues to be the pacesetter in the Kuntz & Co. Rookie of the Year battle with Jonathan Rowan, Mason Oberkramer, and Brandon Wilson in tow.

Action opens this weekend on Friday, June 3 at Crowley’s Ridge Raceway (Paragould, Arkansas). The $2,000-to-win/$350-to-start affair at the racy, ¼-mle bullring has become a fan and racer favorite on the schedule. Wendell Wallace and Billy Moyer Jr. split wins at the oval in 2015. 305 Winged Sprints, Modifieds and Factory Stocks will also be on the evening’s card. Saturday, June 4 will find the tour making their lone appearance of 2016 in the state of Tennessee with a trip to Camden Speedway (Camden, Tennessee) for a $2,000-to-win/ $400-to-start event. Dane Dacus topped the action at the 3/8-mile oval in 2015. NeSmith Late Models, Hobbys, E-Mods, NeSmith Street Stocks, Pure Streets, Mini Mods, and Hummers will also be in action. Gates open at 4:00 p.m. with grandstands opening at 6:00 p.m. The driver’s meeting is set for 6:50 p.m. with racing action to follow.
