5th Annual Rockabilly 45 Takes Center Stage at I-30 Speedway

Beebe, Arkansas (06/01/15) – After almost a one-month break, the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil returns to action this weekend, June 5th-6th, with the 5th Annual Rockabilly 45 at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas).

With four point’s events in the book in 2015 three different drivers have found victory lane, including Jack Sullivan, Timothy Culp, and two-time winner, Bub McCool.

Two-time and defending series’ champion, Kyle Beard sits atop the series standings with a three marker advantage over Clay Fisher. Garrett Alberson, Jack Sullivan, Robert Baker, Kyle Cummings, Shannon Scott, Chandler Petty, Timothy Culp, and Ross Camponovo round out the current top ten in the series standings.

Hunter Rasdon from Jonesboro, Arkansas leads the way in the Kuntz & Co. Rookie of the Year battle with Cole Farmer, Casey Findley, and Gavin Landers rounding out the standings.

While the 2014 Rockabilly 45 was washed away at Northeast Arkansas Speedway (Harrisburg, Arkansas), Tony Jackson Jr. swept the event in 2013. Jack Sullivan picked up the win in 2012, and Jesse Stovall won the inaugural event in 2011.

For 2015 the event has a new home at I-30 Speedway. The event, which is a mainstay on the tour schedule each year, will see its ¼ mile confines playing host to a pair of events. Friday night will see a complete program contested that will culminate with the Boston’s Sports Bar & Restaurant 30, which will pay $1,500-to-win/$300-to-start. The top four finishers in the finale will lock into Saturday night’s finale.

Saturday’s program will see the balance of the field competing in a complete program as they try to earn a starting spot in the 45 lap finale. The top four finishers from Friday’s program will compete in the Allen Manufacturing Dash, which will determine the starting order for the front two rows in the finale. A $600 total purse will be on the line for the dash. The evening will headlined by the Central Arkansas Pest Services Rockabilly 45, which posts a $3,000-to-win/$300-to-start purse. The winner will also get a custom guitar trophy, designed by Phillip Brinkley.

Also in action on Friday night will be Bumper to Bumper Super Stocks, 600cc Mini Sprints, and Mini Stocks. IMCA Modifieds, Bumper to Bumper Super Stocks, and 600cc Mini Sprints will be on the Saturday card as well.

Adult grandstand admission on Friday night is $10 with children (ages 6-12) $1, when accompanied by an adult. Pit passes are $25. Saturday evening, adult grandstand admission is $20 with children (ages 6-12) $2, when accompanied by an adult. Pit passes are $30. Gates open at 5 p.m. each night with racing action at 7:30 p.m.
