FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Columbus, Mississippi (05/14/16) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil and Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) wrapped up their weekend doubleheader on Saturday with a trip to Magnolia Motor Speedway. Jonesboro, Arkansas racer, Hunter Rasdon overcame a race-long battle with Ronny Lee Hollingsworth to take the $2,500 triumph as he became the first repeat winner on the tour in 2016. New Vision Graphics Pole Sitter, Bub McCool and Hunter Rasdon brought the field to the green flag for the 40-lap affair at the state-of-the-art, 3/8-mile oval. Rasdon jumped to the initial lead with the field fanning out three-wide throughout the pack. 5th-starting, Ronny Lee Hollingsworth was on the move early in the event, and by lap 10 he blasted the high-side of the gumbo oval to take the lead from Rasdon. The Northport, Alabama driver paced the field until the midway point, when Rasdon shot back to the top spot amidst lapped traffic. Rasdon went on to power his Brown Brothers Farms #R5 Black Diamond entry to the victory, which marked his second of the season on the tour. Hollingsworth scored the runner-up finish, while Chris Brown, Bub McCool, and 11th-starting Wendell Wallace completed the top five finishers. Black Diamond Race Cars Heat Race #1 was won by Bub McCool with Allen Manufacturing Heat Race #2 being claimed by Chris Brown. M&M Paint & Construction Heat Race #3 was won by Hunter Rasdon, while Chandler Petty won ROCKHARD Powder Coating Heat Race #4. Mark Martin Powersports B-Main #1 was topped by Jon Mitchell with Chad Thrash winning Arctic Cat B-Main #2. Clay Fisher was the recipient of the Henryetta Ford Hard Luck Award after a broken, axle tube ended his night.
